AboutMy Chemical Romance Art is a community for people to post their mcr inspired and related artworks for everyone to see, love, and comment on! We accept art, photography and a variety of other mediums. The community also accepts art posts in relation to other popular rock, punk or emo bands. Post away! But please state beforehand if you are not looking for critiques otherwise you may be in for a nasty shock! <3
First of all, thanks for dropping by. If you have any queries dont be afraid to ask!
We accept the following mcr and rock/punk/emo related and inspired band stuff:
+Icons
+Paintings/Drawings/Art
+Photography (gig photography or inspired photography)
+Graphics
+Photomanips
+Cover songs
+Layouts
+Poetry
+Fanfiction (minus Waycest!)
+Gig Reviews
+etc etc
Basically anything creative is welcome. However, If your piece of art or writing is of a mature nature, please give warning. All kinds of fanfictions are welcome (except Waycest!...just no!) as we believe in creative freedom rather than creative boundaries. The reason that Waycest is exempt from the list is that it is pushing the boundaries of what's actually right, rather than of whats creative.
If you are posting a large image or the like, please put it behind an LJ cut.
Images can be given in text links, too. Smaller images, such as dollz or icons can be placed infront of the cut, but please bear in mind when posting alot of icons a preview of couple and then the rest behind a cut is preffered.
If you'd like to become a mod contact me and i'll see what I can do. ^_^
Rules
+If you are posting someone elses artwork. State CLEARLY who they are, and give a link to their site or email when possible. If you do not you will most certainly be named and shamed and if the original artist is found, your email address may be given to them so they can deal with you.
+No advertising communities that are not related to MCR or other similar bands, please.
+No unconstructive crits. "I think the eye needs changing - maybe you could try it a little bit further up" is constructive. "OMFG TEH EYE SUKZZ" is most certainly not.
+No spam. Thats pretty self explainitory.
+You may advertise for commissions, and you may make new posts requesting art and graphics. You may also advertise the fact that you are giving commissions. Because us artists do need to make a living!
+Because we like to be rude and fangirly, any FrankxGerard photo threads are rewarded with free cookies. :P
