• friends of the band are allowed so long as mcr band members are still in the picture. the only exception is pictures of girlfriends/wives/fiancees. let's keep their private lives private, okay?
  
• keep all picspam caption images under a cut, even if you use one image
  
• caption contests may only be posted by mods
  
• promo posts should be for my chemical romance communities only
  
• disable comments for fake cut posts leading to your own journal.
  
• no introduction posts. we're glad you love the guys and your life is super since you found their music, but we're here to read picspam captions, not about you
  
• no information posts. there are plenty of communities for that
  
• no request posts.
  
• no concert reviews even with picspam, unless you have good captions for them... yeah, didn't think so.
  
• main focus: captions captions and more captions.
  
• though not enforced, try to make a caption post for more than one image at a time.
  
• MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL: no, and i mean absolutely NO name-calling to ANY of the band members. if i catch one person calling gerard steve, fat, geetard, or any of that other mean crap, your post will be deleted, and your comment. captions teasing the band is fine, but if it starts to get ugly, i'll moderate this community. mcr_captions is NOT to be confused with that other community. blantant disrespect will NOT be tolerated in any way.
  
• and just as important: no asking someone to take down a personal photo unless it actually has your face in it. if you don't want people swapping your images, don't put them on the fucking internet.
  
• we have no qualms about using watermarked and copywritten images, so get the fuck over it. getty, retna, and all those other places can just kiss our asses!

• members may only submit one caption
  
• members may not submit questions or images during submission or voting period. contact coolndarklyeeri or dolphingoddess for question pertaining to challenges or posting.
  
• members are to vote only by number. refrain from any added commentary. no questions, please.
  
• no one is allowed to vote for themselves. anyone caught voting for themselves or their friends will be disqualified.
  

• only mods may post caption challenges
  
• caption challenges are on a month to month basis only.
  
• when a challenge has been decided on, the active mod must screen comments, present the rules lucidly on the post, and cut the entry with the pic.
  
• submission period is three days. the participating mod is to set reminder posts during the submission and voting period. this isn't limited to active mods only.
  
• when it's time to start the voting period, the same pic must be used again in a new post. all screened captions are to be posted along with the image. all usernames must be stripped and replaced with a number for the members to vote by.
  
• once the voting period has begun, please disable comments to the submission post to prevent late caption entries.
  
• voting is to be screened as well to prevent people from going with the more popular choice.
  
• when voting period has ended and a clear winner has emerged, the voting post is be unscreened to let others see their vote count. (in case of a tie, the two captions are to be pitted against each other in a brand new post and voted on. voting rules still apply.)
  
• the winning caption post is to be memoried, and the pic and caption winner with link back to the community is to be placed in the user info. runner up should also be included in the winning caption post.
  
• link back the winners from the previous months in the user info.
