McKay/Weir Love Fest
So, there was a McShep Kissing Meme and then a Not!McShep Kisses Fest too but sadly we got no Rodney and Elizabeth action, innocent or not.

Thereby, I think we need one of our own - and I blame

velvet_midnight for suggesting it. ;D

What do we want - lovin'!

Kisses, cuddles, gift giving, hot snarky banter, whatever you think of as Rodney/Elizabeth love and it can be just friendship fluff or it can be OT3 hotness.

Make it vid, fic, graphics, comics, fanmix - however you want to show your love for the pairing. If you can't make anything feel free to leave as many prompts as you like in the prompts thread so anyone looking for inspiration can find ideas there.

Before you get going, just check out the four very simple rules. :)

RULES:

1. New fest item = make new comments thread here, so it's easy for people to see stuff.
2. Type of item, exact pairing (e.g. M/W friendship, M/W established, M/W/S OT3 etc) and rating and spoiler + other warnings in thread title please. That way people can only check out what interests them.
3. For art, it's large please either use thumbnails or only give link to it.
4. Any items linked to must be accessible to all - one exception would be if anyone makes fanmixes, which we request get friends only posted on this community if you're worried about making it public - just warn in your comment if the item is f-locked for here.

I have a couple of ideas or requests, one fic and 2 vid...

One is a request for a Season 4 music vid to one of those "I miss you" songs about Rodney and Elizabeth being apart from each other. I know there have been vids to songs like "Far Away" already, but I want something specifically implying Liz leaving Atlantis (using either clips from First Strike or even in Return II where she's looking back before going through the gate.)

I thought about writing this but I never will (because I'm just not a writer): Alternate ending to "Epiphany" where the team gets stuck in the time field, just the 6 of them, but remember it's season 2 so Rodney and Elizabeth were a bit distant that season and maybe bring that up :)

My final idea was to do a McWeir mini-vid-athon. Basically where we all do different songs but we just vid a verse, a chorus or just a verse and a chorus and then at the end we can slap them all together into a big collage vid :) We could just do any song or theme, or we could do something like my first prompt where they all imply season 4.

I'm all for taking drawing requests. I've run dry on McWeir ideas right now, so if you have any you'd like to see, I'll give them my best shot :)

Fic or alternatively drawing ideas.

-college meeting! studious but cute Elizabeth noticing Rodney as she walks by, with him deep in snarking explanation of something at some pool fool.

- Holiday comic! Elizabeth opens a surprising Christmas present from Rodney, eyebrow arching! + anxious expectant looking Rodney waiting for her reaction.

- Rodney nervously takes Elizabeth ("It's not a date!" he blurts out in protest) as a guest to a baptising of his nephew (presuming another Miller is born ;) )

- Subtle hand holding picture (think closeness of that one Sanctuary pic but with hands finding each other) perhaps big enough to be part of a wallpaper.

- numerous drawings coloured and made into a thematic wallpaper would be so cool

- episode taggy drawings/comics would be fun, especially for Hotzone comforting or Hide and Seek praising/teasing. :D

Just a quick idea, something that I thought would be pretty cool. Has the possibility to be very angsty;

Anyhoo, there's a line in an early Blonk 182 song, 'Enthused', that goes "and if it's for me/another boring story/i swear i'll act enthused". My first thought was a MW fic with Shep angst over Liz, how over the years Shep has become a friend to Liz instead of something more.

But it could be something else. Anything you want. Go nuts :)

* McWeir humor...maybe a fic/ficlet with a comedy of errors. (I really need to stop watching Coupling- its giving me strange ideas) :)

* Miko and Elizabeth competing for Rodney's affections. (yes, M/W, at least at the end) after all, Weir's a diplomat, and Miko is...(well, its up to you)

* McWeir ship, with Cadman angsting over Rodney.
(or replace Cadman with Kate or Katie)

"They're idiots." McKay mumbled, not looking up from his laptop, his fork swirling round and round in his spaghetti. "And how the hell did they get the hearts on the ceiling anyway?" With that he looked up at the hearts, then at Elizabeth. "What?"

Well, I haven't much time to produce stuff for this myself but since I suggested it I decided to start off an article for the pairing on FanHistory.com. It's not comprehensive. I'd have liked to write more on the early days and about the ship terms, each season etc but hadnt got to it yet. Hopefully it's a good start and people might even add about their involvement etc?

Sorry it took so long... I kinda lost my sketchbook for a little while (moving sucks, lol!)... that and I don't read descriptions very well, so sorry PY, not exactly what you asked for (Rodney looks more like he's nervous like in ToR rather than expectant like you requested :( It's supposed to be Rodney visiting Elizabeth's apartment on Earth where she's staying after leaving the hospital, or whatever is going to happen, I'm just guessing!)

here's another one that I started while I was looking for the lost sketchbook... don't like it as much, be here he's visiting her at the hospital instead of the apartment.
