I'm writing an MC story, and I was going to post the first chapter here.... However... I've accidentally put it in my LJ...in fact I messed up and you'll find it there TWICE!! Duh!!
Anyway, if any of you would like to read the first chapter, feel free to look.. If you like it, let me know and I'll post another chapter or two.

It's all Kerrit's fault! She pointed me to Master Chief central... and it just happens I scanned some Urgayle pics last weekend... these are from a Japanese souvenir program for G.I. Jane that I found on eBay. Not super-friendly for dial-up, I'm afraid.

He packs a lot of context into that phrase "Cut her loose." It makes me feel that 1) he doesn't want her there any more than the rest of them, although 2) he respects the 110% effort she's putting into her training and is a little disappointed on her behalf, but ultimately 3) his primary concern has to be for the future SEALs he's training--whether she's one of them or not.
I really respect Viggo's skill with this part, and I don't understand the people who only see his Urgayle as a "sadistic bastard." He made him a much more complex character than just a guy who beats up women.
