The Mayfair nexus is a small and completely implausible chunk of space-time based in the Curzon Street flat of ex-security-officer Hippolyta Hollister. Unlike most nexi which occur randomly as spheres of cosmic causality intersect, the Mayfair nexus came about through repeated interversal portal openings into and out of this particular third-floor apartment. New connections and portals are beginning to appear as the fluctuations in reality stabilize. This is the sort of place where one should not be surprised to see pretty much anything, especially if one has had enough to drink. One thing the Mayfair nexus can be relied on for is a plentiful supply of extremely high-quality booze.

The basic layout of the flat is something like this, although new bits of it keep appearing all the time and this sketch doesn't show the transdimensional portals.

We ask that you respect the fourth wall. The Mayfair nexus may be a stretched-out pair of reality/cotton blend underpants on the washing-machine agitator of interdimensional causality, but it's also our home--we live here, as well as others. If you'd like to do something to the building, such as, say, set it on fire, we ask that you give the blonde lady in charge a heads up first.

Character injury is permitted here if agreed on beforehand by the players involved. IC hostility is, of course, permitted, but OOC sniping in community posts or threads is absolutely not allowed: if you have an issue with another player, please attempt to address it outside the community. The moderator is, of course always, available via email and IM for questions, clarification, and conflict resolution, but we believe you lot are clever and grown-up enough to work out most of the problems you might come across on your own.

If you are posting something which is likely to disturb or squick the unwary, please put it behind a cut. The main watchwords here are courtesy and common sense. If in doubt, LJ-cut.

Also, for the sake of keeping things as unconfusing as possible, please make sure you label your posts as either OPEN to interaction for everybody or CLOSED to just a select few. Also, if it's not described in the body of your post, please make a note of which apartment the scene is taking place in.
