AboutThis community is aimed at mature people of any age who want to discuss what being married means. Many "marriage" communities on LiveJournal tend to focus on newlyweds and raising children. This community is more about the highs and lows of marriage, from people who have lived through it for a while.
If you believe that marriage is a journey with really fun parts, really boring parts, and really sad parts, then this is the right community for you. Come in and complain, encourage, advise, exult, or question.

This community is not limited to people with legal marriage licenses. Same sex couples and long-term domestic partners are welcome. Marriage is a state of mind that is not always recognized legally.
Finally, although we welcome everyone, we do prefer that members be on the mature side of life. "Maturity" isn't a number or an age, but a certain wisdom that comes from experience. One might say that a mature person knows what they don't know.
