Compilation album which Miyavi is participating with ON SALE!!
Rock Nippon's Noriko Shoji Selection

The wide-show reporter and somewhat famous Noriko Shoji.
In 1991, when she met the rock band "X" on a sudden impulse, she's been impressing fans who have an excited atmosphere to the extent of being passionate and emotional towards the music of the band members, and feeling the desire of these young people to see her LIVE she got a TV interview. A huge emough of letters in response arrived at the TV station, and thereafter she frequently went to many lives without regard to indies or major bands, and because she is the "Mother of Rock (rockin' mama)" who has continued to see the burning soul of rock, this is a rock album of 15 songs of her ultimate selection!

Oooh~
:D That's awesome!
I agree with her on those that I know, for the most part. Haha.
(Though...I don't like Gazette)

Kimi ni Funky Monkey Vibration is a great song. <3
(Ooh...Agitator...Pink Spider...Kurenai...)

<3's for the translation.

Haha, I first read this with Gazette's announcement. CASSIS is the bestest.
I'd buy this just for Melty Love and Kurenai tho <3

Not for Miyavi.. so sorry sir. D:
And.. it seems awkward to have Pink Spider as the last track. Yet it seems appropriate at the same time. I don't know.. I feel e___e about it. *ambivalence*

Mmm. Yeah, it sort of does seem awkward.
In way it's a bit right and a bit wrong, I guess. Well...Not wrong, just odd.

Haha.
I wouldn't buy it just for Miyavi...only because I already have the song on Miyaviuta.

I'd buy it for some of the others, though. Most definitely.

They do have better songs. . but I wouldn't know anything better to chose for them to put on a compilation CD such as this. Cassis is a really nice song and they got a lot of attention for it when the single came out.

But indie Gazette pwns all their new stuff, like woah.
Yyeaah, now that I think about it.. how Come they didn't put one of Gazette's indie songs D: Oh wait, I answered my own question already :x

And Wow, I just now realized that T.M. Revolution has a song on there :O even thought I read over his name like a bajillion times - -; AND I'll now point out MALICE MIZER. lalalala

lol yea i was surprised TMR got a song on a rock compilation..
but then the compilation is more hard rock cross pop than metal, so i can understand why him instead of others.
and he is well known so i guess..yeah. good song.
and yes..love for malice mizer =]
and lots of love for luna sea x]

i dont know...i think musically, gazette's getting better. their style might not be the same as when they first started, but their compositions are definitely getting stronger. learning through experience. but you're right, their older songs are much more distinctly gazette. but cassis did increase their fan base by..a lot.
i thought they were still indie..i thought they chose to stay indie..i dont know my japanese sucks but that's what i got from ruki's speech at the end of the NLGS dvd

I've never really looked at Malice Mizer and thought "Rock! o_o" so. . lol And Melty Love is just.. melty, love. haha

I agree 100% with Gazette's compositions getting stronger! No questions there. It's still Gazette all around no matter what, but, maybe it's only because I Know their older stuff. .that I feel like yeah, the distinctness is gone. It's actually the same way I feel about Miyavi. Stupid PLC!! <-- I need someone to blame.
Gazette (& Miyavi) are getting better because what they're bringing out now is definitely not anywhere near terrible and it somewhat excedes previous work, but still! I don't know how to say it. .
Ex: I didn't buy Miyaviuta or Gazette's last couple of singles. . when I started watching the PVS for their new stuff, I IMMEDIATELY turned it off o__O I mean I realize how far they've come and composition/style wise they're, I guess you could say, 'maturing' . . but yeah. .still. And my reasons can't be just because they went major, because I liked both of their first few releases after going major D: And when someone said Filth in the Beauty was one of the best songs Gazette has put out, I totally flipped out! It's not a bad song, and it is catchy? and the composition is great but. . bleh. i dono

*sorry long post >

hahah sok i dont mine long posts xD i'll make a long post too.
it's complete personal preference..it's like expecting all original Dir en grey fans to accept what they're producing now. but it's kinda boring making the same style of music for more than a few years. for both artist and fans. i'll say this as a Dir fan, with a Dir example..i fell in love with their ZAN single..but i dont need them to make ZAN (and that style of music) for 10 years...if i wanted ZAN, i'll listen to ZAN again, but now i also have ryoujoku no ame..and when i feel like ryoujoku no ame, i'll listen to that. i dont know how to explain xD but as long as they keep up the quality of music, i'll appreciate and respect them no matter what style they're in. it's a coincidence that they've changed to a style that i can appreciate as well as their older style.
same with gazette..but it's easier to use a Dir example cuz they've been around longer, and their style has changed more dramatically.

I was trying to avoid an example from them actually ^ ^;

How I make my stand for Dir en grey and Miyavi/Gazette are different. A better band to use as comparison in my position is Merry. I feel they are completely of their own and I love everything they've ever released, despite them 'maturing' -cuz maturation is great BD. I group Miyavi and Gazette together becuase I Only feel the awkwardness with Miyavi and Gazette. I'm not in denial of them changing their style (like whats argued among Dir en grey fans - -;). Maybe its semi-the same root feeling , but . . there are songs that stand out, and then songs that we don't need, but they're there. :P And yeah it would be boring if they didn't ever spice up their new stuff. Oh and I just remembered, if I may recall, that I thought Gazette's new singles sounded very NIL-ish. Like I've heard it before D: .semi. So, it's not that I want them to keep the same sound. There's a way to do it, and I guess my personal preference has butted in and said "It's not satisfying anymore."
I don't want anyone to go a specific way For me because, that's just BS. *glares at fan-pleasingbandwanters* So.. I don't WANT Gazette and Miyavi to do this or that, I just like what I like. The personal-preferenced individual x__x And I'm not about to force myself to like anything either. That's BSx2.

hahah yes there is a big difference between miyavi and gazette as compared to how Dir has changed. it's just an easier example to use? xD cuz i really suck with words.
i actually dont think neither miyavi or gazette has intentionally changed their style either..i think it's just them learning and experimenting. and they're at a stage in an artist's/a band's lifespan where they seriously should do that.

and yes..omg..i died a little bit last time i read a comment that said 'i hate the style they've changed into, i wish they'd play their older stuff, or make more music in their old style cuz i'm kind of getting sick of all the songs they've released in that style. i'm also a complete music noob and think [insert shitty demo track of their favourite band here] is AMAZING and they should never change because they are not human and experience new things!! NEVVAAAHHH kthx.'
ok i added that last part but you get the point -.- xD

-cuz maturation is great BD.
There can be solidity in experimentation.
I guess I don't feel that from them, the solidity, the Foundation.
Rarr I dont care anymore. . .

Raw indie is always good tho. Good raw indie. B)

Of the songs there that I recognize, it seems like this is just the type of mix CD I would make myself. Heck, just yesterday, I made a mix CD of 15 Jrock songs that happened to include Pink Spider by hide-sama. XD *huggles hide-sama* My CD also has a song by Miyavi-sama, but I picked "Itoshii Hito", though "Kimi ni Funky Monkey Vibration" is also great. All of Miyavi-sama's songs are! ^_^
