Just as i was about to read this my email alert came up saying i got a Melutomo, how ironic lol! I thought it was from Miyavi but thats ok. Just been thinking about him a lot lately... =D

I hear ya. Its hard for me to not deal with the jrockers i love especially because of my job. Sometimes i get a little to attached and get emotional over silly things lol. I dont like knowing there private lives either, i try really hard to not read anything about that area. But then i really want to know who they are in many ways. There more then just hot guys singing ya know? lol.

yeah i'm totally the same. like i'm SO SICK and TIRED of reading things about Miyavi's ex-girlfriend. And it's so unavoidable because since Kekkonshiki no uta, it's been brought up so often that you can tell what songs are about her just by what words he uses. It drives me nuts! Like... I really feel bad for him AND her and all, but I just get sick of hearing about it because it's such a painful thing, obviously.

anyway, i wanted to ask what your job is? (if you don't mind)

I read something one time about his ex-girlfriend and Kekkonshiki no uta being about her. I felt so bad for him! It was a "WOW Miyavis so human!" moment. It made him seem even more real to me. But i wish it had been something wonderful. After that when i now listen to his songs i do wonder ok is this about something else that happened to him to? Like Papa Mama ~Nozomare nu Baby~ scared me when i first heard it!!!! It kinda put this grasp on my heart and i wanted to cry.

I dont mind if you ask... Im a media researcher for a Japanese music company that profiles and promotes jrock, jpop and other types of Asian music artists.

woah holy crap. I totally want to know more about your job and like how you got it XD I want to get in the Japanese music industry too, as like a translator/interpreter or even like someone to help them promote internationally or have international fanclubs. I really don't know, but I totally wanna work for PSC or something like that.

I had an internship at a Japanese record company but it was one of those companies that just like own the rights to foreign labels in Japan so they can be sold and distributed there. I did a lot of translating though, and I loved it even though I didn't like hardly any of the musicians I was dealing with, musically (not personally, of course XD).

I applied saying i was interested in the media gathering position and the owner contacted me and we talked about what the job was about and what i would be doing and such. My non-ability to write nor read Japanese was not a problem. (I can understand it verbally.) I just had to have some knowledge of the artists and music genre in general. I got the position and what i do is gather pictures and music samples, also write profiles and interview bands. Im currently working on interviewing an indies band. I dont think it helped that i got there name wrong when i contacted there management because i havent heard back from them... 0_o

I worked with an American pop singer when i was in my early 20's. They never made it but i at least had the experience of knowing a little bit of how to promote, interview and profile.

To work for PSC would be mind blowing!!!! As much as i love Miyavi i would give anything to work for VAP (Nightmares label) lol! Im so in love with them... <3

Ah, thanks for the translation. I was a little jumpy because I thought it was a new journal entry (I'm on the lookout every day~). Lately, it's been Miyavi, Miyavi, Miyavi~ with me and some buddies planning on sending him some stuff and all. T.T
