Masa Karasu has created a new section called "The Arts - inspiration by miyavi" to help promote the artistic creations of fans who have been inspired by miyavi. This includes fanart, literature, music, and dance routines. At the moment we are working on the best route for fanart, but in the meantime if you have any literature (fan-fiction not included, sorry!), music, or dance routines that you have recorded, please contact the Masa Karasu owner, Cynthia at cynthia@masakarasu.net and let us help promote your art!

Let us begin with novelist JD Phillips who will be releasing her sixth novel titled Mad Angel, which was inspired by miyavi's music.

Synopsis

An unsolved murder, a lost love, a serial killer on the loose...

Five years ago a young man known as Shoh was brutally murdered during one of the worst natural disasters the town of Galvert had ever seen. His killer was never found.

Tonight Brodi Norwood, a young man employed by Shoh's former fiancée Liz, was deliberately run off the road while driving in the country. His car flipped over, crashed against a number of trees, leaving him injured and unable to escape the vehicle. He thought his number was up until someone crawled through the wreckage and came to his aid – someone who bears an uncanny resemblance to Shoh.

As it becomes apparent that Shoh's killer has returned with her sights set upon Brodi, Brodi has no choice but to chase after what may or may not be a ghost from his boss' past. Is this look-alike some figment of Brodi's imagination or has Shoh truly returned in hopes of sparing another from suffering the same grisly demise?

As fans, we all know the emotional and inspirational impact that we have with miyavi’s music and lyrics. This suspenseful delight will make a great addition to any book collection as the reader enters the world that JD Phillips creates. She intertwines her creativity with the influential impact that miyavi has given her.

How can you help?
Well, first, purchase the book when it's released! Second, help spread the word by posting the following banner:

Hello everyone,

I would like to introduce to you our new translator, Adrienne ([info]oritsu_luv)! She has been studying/knows Japanese for about 14 years and I know that Masa Karasu and all miyavi fans will definitely benefit from her translations.

Please welcome her!

Soon she'll be posting entries that haven't been translated and we'll have miyavi's "SuperHero" lyrics up on the website this week. So please keep an eye out for them!

As always, thank you to everyone for your continuous support of Masa Karasu :)

Thank you,

Masa Karasu Forum's 1st Anniversary
miyavi - pool guitar
[info]clockwork_yume

Dear readers,

The Masa Karasu forum celebrated it's first anniversary on the 5th of May. Ever since its first opening, the forum has offered a place for Miyavi fans all over the world to discuss our love for our favourite elegant crow and share their experiences as fans. It has become quite the success, even though the forum has had its ups and downs.

As of today the forum has 360 members, with 488 topics and 38983 posts. Overall the topics about Miyavi's blogs are the most popular, as well the topics where we talk about his concerts and the experiences the fans have during said concerts.

We couldn't have done this without our readers and forum members, namely you, and we hope you will continue to enjoy the forum and set out for another anniversary!

The Masa Karasu team

Hey everyone! Here's Miyavi's latest MySpace Blog entry. I know that we've been sort of behind schedule with the translations lately, and I have to apologize for that. Part of the reason is because Jess, Cristal and I have all been extrodinarily busy with work and/or school lately - but more than that, part of what takes us so long is that here at MK, we check and double-check each other's work to make sure that our translations aren't just quickly-posted, close approximations of Miyavi's words, but as accurate as possible. Cristal and I ended up both translating this blog seperately, and creating this Frankenstein's monster of a final product for you! Again, sorry about the wait time - we just really want to bring you guys quality work!

Anyway - here's the blog!

Hello Dear Readers!

I just wanted to let everyone know who couldn't make it to Houston for Anime Matsuri, that things are going very well for us and for Miyavi and it sounds like the fans are having a blast. There will surely be updates regarding this in the near future, so please keep an eye out for it here or on our website.

Also, I just wanted to assure the readers that the last two myspace blogs have not been translate because Miyavi pretty much translated them himself entirely. Cheers to him for doing such a good job too! I mean, he pretty much is taking over my job! (laughs)

As always, we will keep the readers informed especially when anything needs to be translated.

More than anything else, I would like to extend my deepest gratitude for all of the readers - old and new - for continuing to read, comment, and give us so much support. Never hesitate to message or e-mail any of us, we all love to talk and especially love to connect with all of you. Cheers to open hearts!

Warmest regards,

Jessica, on behalf of Masa Karasu team.

PS - I couldn't go to the convention either, as I'm stuck here in Japan! So I completely sympathize with anyone else who couldn't go. *hug*
