This is just a clarification on the rules on the community, as well as the purpose, which I figure is good for us all.

Community Purpose

The original reason this community was created was because adama_roslin did not allow any material pertaining Mary McDonnell and Edward James Olmos be posted at that community unless it was relevant to Adama/Roslin. I had no problem with this, since ultimately, they are two different subjects, so I decided to create this community, where any material on the two actors (whether as separate people or a "pair") could be posted.

So, let me clarify that this community was not created with the intent to be a shipping community.

I think that, obviously, since all of you are members of the community, there's no doubt about the fact that both MM and EJO are attractive, talented people who compliment each other both physically and on the screen. They have chemistry, the two of them won't deny it. BUT they are also two married individuals, which is why I won't allow RPF in this community or any other material that is disrespectful to the actors and their spouses (I will clarify this below).

And that's the joy of being a mod. I can bring my moral into my community. And since I don't think conjuring up an affair between two people (whether legit or not) is respectful, I won't have it in this community. Instead, I want to simply have a home for those gorgeous MM/EJO pictures we get every so often, or those lovely quotes that we've collected from them over the years, or for artwork created from these sources.

Whether or not you ship them on your own time is your business, and I honestly don't care what happens outside of this community. In fact, if you have a problem with this premise, feel free to make your own community. :D

So, anyways, here's what I will allow:

- Pictures of Mary McDonnell and Edward James Olmos, whether together or separate (i.e. MM Fan has a variety of photos of them together taken at various events)

- Any information pertaining to Mary McDonnell and Edward James Olmos, whether about them as individuals or them together (So this will be one of the exceptions: if you come across a legit article about the two of them being romantically involved, discussion on it is welcome, as long as the discussion is respectful and tasteful.)

- Artwork of Mary McDonnell and Edward James Olmos (tasteful manipulations are welcome; ones containing adult content are not welcome here)

- Squeeage is always welcome! It is a universal truth that they make for a 'cute couple' and that they are attractive, but once speculations of an affair start up, I will have to draw the line. Again, the number one rule is to be respectful of the individual actors and their spouses.

If you have any questions or concerns about the purpose and the rules, feel free to let me know. I am open for suggestions, as always.

Just a weekly update from your mod [insert irony here].

A big thanks to those of you who post your lovely artwork here! I appreciate it very much and I don't think I've ever told you wonderful people that. :D

But I would love to make this community more active. We have a fair amount of members and it would be fun to see everyone participating in something. So, that's where you come in. I would love to hear any suggestions to what we could do as a community. I have several ideas below, so see what you think about those, but please, feel free to add anything additional to the list.

Suggestions
- a daily or weekly picspam
- a graphics challenge of some sort
- a weekly caption contest
- a "daily dose" of MM and EJO (similar to frak_spoilers)
- a special Christmas-themed challenge of some sort

What I won't allow:
- RPF (Real People Fanfiction)
- Any material disrespectful to MM and EJO and their respective spouses

These things are also follow for the rest of the community. I haven't seen this done yet, because you are all good little members, so let's hope we don't see it in the future. :] This is all in respect for the actors, guys, I'm sure you can understand that.
