So, I'm starting to be a bit concerned...so far I have received neither of my postcards this round, and only one of the ones I sent out has been received (at least going by what's been posted here, anyway). Anyone else having similar problems?

I noticed a lot of people concerned that items may have fallen off the postcards they sent out. I just had an amusing thought of a postal working finding some odd end and thinking "How the heck did this get in the system?"
It made me laugh to myself. :)

Hi everyone!

The second one of my postcards came this weekend, but unfortunately I was away and without a computer. So now I'm home, with internet access, and I can finally post my pictures!

These are from missysmurfy and jupiter_star.

missysmurfy's is on top. It's an awesome collage made from old National Geographic magazines. I love it! I'm moving into a new apartment right now, and let me tell you, when I decorate, this is totally going on my bedroom wall.

The one on the bottom is from jupiter_star. It's a piece of music someone wrote as a mean joke on musicians - it's way too complex to actually be played. I love looking at this piece... I've seen it floating around the internet before, but now I actually have it to look at whenever I need a laugh! Thanks, I love it!

Sorry this one's taken so long - I've been horribly lazy. Here are my two lovely postcards. The top one's from stargazercrys and it's all lovely and swirly and sparkly. Love the little bugs and the positive message.

The bottom one's from girlaxia and contains loads of funky retro sci-fi goodness, with five whole Ulalas plus one more on the back.

Feeling really lucky to have heard from such cool people with such wonderful ideas. Thank you!

Such a cute design (done in watercolour and pen) by diet that is just lovely! The character is from a comic "Pon + Zi" (which i am unfamiliar with) but is totally adorable!! Thanks so much, I think you did a fantastic job with the watercolours :)

I going to wait for both of my postcards to arrive before posting, but it's taking so long!
This sweet postcard arrived from little_stone maybe 2 weeks ago. I think something came unstuck in the mail, from the ribbon across the right hand side (I wonder what...?) but it's still great! I love the bird paper you used to write your return address on too. And btw Dayna: I decided to adopt the 2 kitties. Resident cat is still unsettled but hopefully she'll come 'round soon. Hope yours are getting along better too!

I got my amazing cards in the mail yesterday, from Rena_Librarian and Scream_Baby!

The awesome gelpen art & random facts on the back were from Rena_Librarian, and the adorable kids crafts card (including the googly-eyed bear) was from Scream_Baby. I lovvve them both so much.

My postcards have all arrived (yes, that's all, not both) and here they are! Thankyou so much, mini_mina and iamkat!

Mini_mina sent TWO! Aren't they pretty? The shirt design was her husband's idea and it's cut in pieces like a real shirt, so the pattern goes like the fabric would! And the flower card is just so sweet, I adore that shade of yellow. I think I like this flower card the best out of all three cards I recieved this round.

Which is not to say Iamkat's card is not fantastic - I'm so sorry the scanner wiped out all the glitter, most of it is hologram glitter and the sea especially is just stunningly sparkly - I sat there for about ten minutes waving this card around and going 'ooo, shiiiiny...'

I hope you get my cards alright - and I'm really sorry I didn't say much on mine. I was horribly afraid of looking insanely chatty (I have a habit of going off on one if not stopped) so I didn't say very much at all, and both my partners this round sent such lovely friendly greetings. I'm not being unfriendly, you guys, I just didn't want to terrify you!

...comes my second postcard!

It's from Elly (nagain)! You can see my first postcard here (sorry, I couldn't wait, and had to make two separate posts!).

It is an absolutely beautiful-and-adorable postcard!!! It features a stunning rainbow of colors (on both sides!) and a drawing of a duck and a sheep. It leads the viewer to wonder, hm... what are they saying to one another? as they two critters gaze curiously at each other.

I am a soon-to-be art teacher, and I should know this!! But I can only guess what medium this is. It appears to be some kind of watercolor or other paint, and there are (correct me if I'm wrong, Elly!) horizontal likes drawn in white glue, creating a raised textural surface that's just so nice to the touch!! You can see at the bottom, lower left, the artist has signed her name in the glue-like material. The animals appear to have been drawn afterward with a permanent marker.

Overall, it's a great and whimsical card -- it is brightening up my desk area at work! Thank you, Elly!! :)

I got my postcards, yay! I can't tell you how excited I was to receive them and I want to thank my partners for doing such a lovely artistic job on both their post cards. :)

I'm posting the pictures without a cut because honestly, who looks behind the cut? And I want you all to see the post cards. :p

mellywhiteyo made this rather mod, contemporary kind of design and I just adore it. It's called "rhythmic constellations" which immediately reminds me of the futurists and their trying to show sounds and rhythms with their paintings.

And bloodydecadence I love the mediums you used! Acrylic and watercolor go together very nicely -- so much texture! I love how it feels as if it had been painted on a wood grain. :D
