Or against crime. This pic is both practice for a challenge (Nope, not for pxj *gasp*), and testing a different paper pad. It doesn't accept any other media as nicely as markers, though.

Anywaaay... Jazz stuck in a human body, a female body at that. (I blame IDW for having the female holograms as drivers!) I wanted to practice my female anatomy at the same time. And boy... does it need work. Was going for a fit but not skinny shape, hell if I managed it. That, and I remembered the perspective of Jazz's chest armor a little too late, so it looks flatter than it should. Oh well!

Also, drawing cars is effing hard to do, specially when you're going by memory because you don't have photoss of the car in the angle you wanted it. Even harder to color them all 'nice and shiny'. I really overworked the Copics on Prowl's black paint. Jazz was supposed to be blowing something up but I'm tired and not with enough brain power to figure out how to color an asplosion with markers. I tried to give Jazz a somewhat tanned skin tone, but I'm still figuring out how to do that with what markers I have.

Finished my Mirage sketch card for naggingfishwife. The grey Pitt pen mmouse15 sent me proved to be quite useful for Mirage's mouth, although I didn't fully manage to get it the way I wanted it but it's still much better than my currently in use PITT brush pen would have allowed.

This be Mirage from Imperium Cybertronium, hence the sash and different helm. Hope you like, naggingfishwife.

mmouse15 sent me two pads I was going to test with the markers to decide which one worked better so I did a quick pic on the Strathmore pad to test it out. The strathmore pad she sent me has some texture, or 'medium surface' as it reads on the description of the paper. So far both pads work wonderfully for the alcohol based markers like the Touch and the Copics, neither have bleed issues for which I am very happy about. However! I found out that the smooth papers do not seem to take the Tombo markers as good as the Touch or Copics, probably beause they're water based. In any case, the Strathmore paper really does work so much better for the Tombo markers. owo;

The veredict? I think Strathmore's definitely the go-to for blending and use of the tombos. But the Borden and Riley gives a smoother finish with the Touch and Copics. So I think I'll be using both kinds just as much. xD This pic's for snugsbunny beause she's been le sick, here be Prowl and Jazz and their bebes, Bluestreak and Stepper.

mmouse15 sent me more markers and paper pads to test them with the markers, so I drew this to test the goods and one of the pads. Gonna send her this since she loves Ironhide and Ratchet and her birthday's approaching.

Took the chance to play around again with slightly more detailed work on their designs, not that much. Though I am getting more and more convinced I need another white gel pen and white ink. Still playing around with blending the markers and so on, and got to use copics for the first time. They're awesome!

I'm just playing around with the movieverse style so to speak. nothing that omg new and different, just messing around a little with my design of Prowl for movieverse. And no, I'm not changing my design, this was just more playing around than anything.
