| Just got done watching the season premiere of HEROES... |

...and I saw a very familiar face: Nick D'Agosto.
And to think that I saw his first performance in college as part of Art Angels as a scraggly little John the Baptist!
Here I was, just a plain ol' fangirl watching one of my favorite shows to return to the fall lineup, and I get a faceful of a Marquette alum on the screen. Geez, it sure made me feel small and like I hadn't done much since graduation.
...but then my second thought was, "Wait...Claire is in 11th grade and is being played by an 18 year old -- but West is also in 11th grade and being played by a 28 year old...ehh, that's weird."
But, if he can pull it off, than more power to him (and those genes in his skin, lucky son of a gun).
It's so cool to see a fellow Marquette grad make it big. Way to go, Nick!
Can't wait until next Monday for another does of HEROES! :o)

West and Claire they look cute together (Hayden and Nick seem to have chemistry from the photos i've seen). I'm already giving the West/Claire paring a chance cause Claire does need to get herself a boyfriend (but from new spoilers it looks like it'll be more drama than fuffy bf/gf action. Spoilers say West will bear the Company's mark on his neck and tell Claire of his experience with a man with horn rimmed glasses) so my guess is that it might not work out between those two. Also Nick D'Agosto is a cutie (saw an interview with him and he's adorable), but the guy is 27 and playing a high school student.

I dunno if anyone still reads this group, but:
Anyone at all interested in student-run theatre should consider joining MUPS: Marquette University Players Society.
We're an entirely student-run organization that puts on four shows a year, plus social events, fundraisers, service projects and more. You don't need to have any experience to get involved, and we welcome students of any area of study. We even have apprentice programs so you can learn any aspect of technical theatre, or even direction, that you've always wanted to try. And of course, there is ample room for performance onstage- perfect for those who participated in theatre before college and want to stay involved!
Our first meeting is September 4 at 5:15 in the Helfaer Theater. We'll be discussing our upcoming shows, the start of term fiesta, big and little sibs, bakesales, and more. Then later that night, we'll be holding auditions for the first show- Some Girl(s) by Neil LaBute. We'll be needing performers and tech crew, so if you're interested in a short-term (two week) dip into student-run college theatre, please come to the meeting!
