The new Marjorie Fair single, "Empty Room" is the free song of the week at iTunes. You can download it by clicking here. This is awesome because I already had the European version of the album that didn't have this track.

Today there was an article on Pitchfork about the record being released here in the states. You can read it here. Does anyone know which song on the album was produced by Jon Brion (if any)? I read long ago that he worked on this album, but I never can see that confirmed anywhere.

The album comes out on July 19th here in the states. This spring they are going to tour with The Dears. The website has a new song which will be on the American release. It's called "Empty Room" and can be heard here.

Message from Marjorie Fair

We are currently in the studio finishing up a song which will be added to the U.S. release of Self Help Serenade. The band has started rehearsing after the holiday break. We are eager to get back out on tour and perform live again.. Thanks to all the nice folks we met while performing last year, here and in Europe, for your support and interest.
