Ok, so I've happened across the NPC that sells scrolls in the depths of random areas. Are these the same as the ones you get from quests? I'm very confused as to why someone would buy a scroll for 200k when you can get it for much much cheaper in those areas.

Also, how much are Wolbi worth? I got one while fighting Fire Boars today.

My friend and I have come across a lot of good equips recently and we've stored them all on my FM mule. It's been difficult to sell in the last few days because of how crowded FM is from mushroom stores and how few people seem to be online on Bera now because of the Belolcan contest. Anyhow, because of this, my mule's equip slots were all full of decently good stuff to sell and I was making my rounds through FM looking for a spot to open a store.

Channel 1, Free Market 7, I see a hole and run towards it, only to lose it to a lvl 4 mule. I turn around and start walking away when he opens his store. I think, eh, what the hell, why not check it out.

He had 2 items in his store. An Evil Wings and a Dark Sonata. The Dark Sonata was priced at 300 million mesos. The Evil Wings was priced at 1 meso.


BUY BUY BUY!!! OH CRAP, MY EQUIP INVENTORY IS FULL! OH CRAP, SOMEONE ELSE JUST CAME INTO THE STORE AND BOUGHT IT! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

So... a little thing about elves...

They are awesome! Previously, when I left my shop to try to make meso, it would disconnect within an hour or 2 and most of my stuff would remain unsold... unless I sold it off cheap and thus lost out a little. A pain in the ass to say the least... now I can leave the little buggers to do it whilst offline.

Also, you can use it as a temporary storage if you want. The items leave your inventory and stay in the shop, leaving you space to collect more stuff while that stuff sells. There seems to be some sort of penalty if you close this shop and you don't have space to obtain the items (they go to the guy in FM Entrance)... but I don't quite understand it.

So what happens when you go to open a shop?

I was later called a ghey f@g wannabe by a female sin. This was after partying with me for 30minutes without realising I was a guy. It was only after the world famous greeting of ASL was answered that she became hostile. I don't think she likes men. :(

Just something that made me go *PONDER*.

Everyone is always talking about how hackers ruin the economy etc etc. But that they're good also cause they find more items and faster. Ex: There's been quite a few hackers at Lycans lately, they'll find more Screamers BUT, they did say they're going to make them more expensive (not that anyone has the money to buy them expensivER than they already are but anywaaaay...)

A couple of days ago, I saw two FM shops right next to each other like this:

Basically the only ones who always beat Zakum in Bera are from "Trinity"(that's what they call it, sounds stupid to me) a set of 3 guilds with the highest levels in Bera. So, I'm assuming that if no one from lawl,"Trinity" owns the other shop then, they thought/they are hackers? D;

YET.

The supposed hacker store had WAAAAY cheaper prices. I checked the stats between the two stores and they were barely any different. Plus, no one had bought anything from the supposed legit store while there were already three items gone from the hacker one. I've also seen some of the Zakum drops being sold in Sleepywood for prices that barely anyone can pay for Ex: Fairfrozen for 240mil (It's also hard to understand how can they sell the items and not keep some of them at least).

So yes, ponder :(.

i was going to respond to sknight's recent entry about thailand MS's empty FM with a picture of JMS's empty FM (ch. 1, of course, on kaede... their most populated server), but other stuff happened. so i'll make a post about it. :D yeah, it's pretty empty over there too... so i'll start off talking about that...

Theres now a NPC in th freemarket on that platform. He says something about getting money and itmes back after your store expires or something like that.

It looks like we'll be getting the NPC stores for the freemarket soon!

So, what's the guy in the FM all about?

Also, I have big problems with people from Basil bugging me in-game about selling stuff way before the auction's over. WHAT DO I DO WITH THEM? I'll say I'd rather wait until it's over (that's when the best bidding takes place!) but they're so damn persistant D:
Anyone else have this problem? And if so, how do you deal with those people?

Oh and there are contests planed, I'm just goign to be a little off and on for playing maple in the coming weeks. IRL job hunting has to take first notch in my time use. if you want ot hold a contest, by all means go ahead. as long as no major problems arize from the contests, consider them open season for who ever wants to try and hold one.

Oh and for the record, that poll is to find out if it might be likely that NX Contests could happen in the future useing alternative methods rather then gifting.

So on a total whim, I charged up some NXCash today, just ten bucks worth (about an hours work for me :P) and got my main, RabbitSeason, the Monica hairstyle. I was gonna get the Naomi, but decided to save that til the later lvls when it would look good with hats. as it is, I think the lvl thirty hat is butt fugly and refuse to wear it >_<.

I also got my mule a shop permit, and she is sitting happily in an upper lvl freemarket thingy. I like the upper level free markets because they aren't ZOMGCROWDED full of people, and also the Ludi music is cute :)

Just a quick question, are there any price guides for selling in the FM? I know most of the ones for Basil, but FM selling can be quite different or so I've heard. I've priced most of my ores in the vicinity of 1k, with things like steelies, diamonds, and golds going for quite a bit more.

Do you charge markup and hope people will buy? Probably not since i;m not on the first lvl of FM.

Just looking for overall advice. :)

Okay, I was in FM 4, channel 1 on Khaini and around 3:45pm EST, everyone in the room was booted out of the game. Did this happen to anyone on here?

At least I got a really good spot for my shop when I logged back on. XD If only it had happened in FM 1 (I checked, it didn't). ^_^

I have found some items I can't use (scrolls and a nice cape) and would like to sell. Can I just go into the freemarket and say I have this stuff for sale? Or is that a no-no? I know I can buy a cash shop voucher so I can have a store, but I only have a few items right now.

Also, I'm finding I'm spending cash in the cash shop at least once a week to increase my Etc slot. It's easy, although somewhat painful to the pocket. I can't let anything go becasue I'm sure I'll need the items later. I saw that someone else created a mule, and I saw some level 1 people in the freemarket with megalevel stuff for sale. :D Can I make a mule and just run all the way through the beginning training level, get some money for the ferry and come into Victoria Island? Is there anything else i need to know? Also i know there's a quest that gives you four more slots - should I do that? Should I play the mule through to level 10? (I thought the level one person was kinda funny). :D

I just think it's really annoying and time consuming to create a new character as a mule...and it'll be annoying logging into two computers just to store items with the mule but in the long run it'll save me tons of money, and I should have some decent extra storage.

BTW I fought wild boar for two days - still no weighted earrings, and I got lightning ones from Alex the Runaway's quest. Figures. :D

I'm a level 24 warrior and have one quest question and one job question.

Quest: Looking for weighted earrings for a quest. I understand I can get them from zombie mushrooms? Is that the best chance of getting these earrings? Or is there something better I can kill. Also is the ant tunnel the best place to get them? Also I haven't finished that Alex quest. Will I most likely get them from him?

Job: Someone told me I have to decide which weapon I want to use. I don't know exactly what they meant. I want to go the Dark Knight path. What exactly should I consider when coming up on level 30?

Edit: Anyone know if seasonal shops are any wider then normal ones? curious as to if you can squeeze into the same spot as any other shop.
