По выходным у нас гольф-турнир и надо быть на высоте, чтобы соответствовать рангу ВИП-супруги, а с понедельника очередное издательство пришлет материал на правку. Так что творческий кризис у того, кому трудно "стучать копытами" по клавишам, а меня весь день расписан между статьями, собственными рукописями, гольфом, осмотром люкс-недвижимости для потенциальных клиентов! Но это слишком сложно для тех, у кого мозги "разбухли" и от пива и от чрезмерной монотонной работы, на которую обреченны почти все гастарбайтеры из Восточной Европы. Как говорится: "Что положено Юпитеру (мне - г-же), то не положено быку (Вам)!". На русских форумах такая скука и сплошная пошлость самого низкого пошиба! Да, кроме объявления ТВ-мастера, я всю ценную информацию подчерпнула только на немецких интернет-площадках, где общаются нормальные, то есть цивилизованные западные люди. И язык немецкий они не забыли, но самое главное, хамство им не знакомо! И они уже рады пополнению в их ряды той, что давно чужая, среди бывших постсовковского периода. Речь идет лишь об обеспеченных западных мужьях и их иностранных женах, которые никак не могут "сосуществовать "бок о бок" с эмигрантами и иммигрантами, если последние (приехавшие на ПМЖ этносы), в большинстве, своем, прозябают (существуют) , в городах, больших и не очень, а я туда лишь на культурно-спортивно-развлекательные мероприятия выезжаю либо на шоппинг?! И вряд ли мы встретились бы даже в антракте в том же оперном театре (билет в партер стоит дороже, чем 2 пару недель на Канарах для массового туриста), на футбольном стадионе и на мюзикле (ВИП-ложа), да и адреса бутиков у нас совсем разные! О гастарбайтерах, в том числе и о нелегалах, я узнаю из немецких СМИ, подобных знакомых у меня быть не может! ( Эти и другие откровения на нашем телеканале под катом!! Спешите видеть!!! ) __________________________________________ Есть у "ирландцев" форум, который в наши первые ирландские годы оказал нам просто неоценимую услугу в предоставлении всяческой жизненно необходимой информации. Ну и просто потусоваться там было классно. Потом собственные вопросы в основном закончились, контингент форума в значительной мере сменился, стало скучно, и я оттуда практически ушел. Но вчера меня туда навели в связи с появлением просто невероятно феерической ветки. Читаю "новичка" форума Наталью Мантель и просто офигиваю. Ведь дело еще в том, что понты, выпендреж и хамство в явном виде этим форумом отметались с момента его образования, и подобные люди заходили туда довольно редко. А тут сразу такой поток сознания! С другой стороны опять понимаешь, что социум далеко неоднороден, делясь на множество практически независимых прослоек, и можно прожить всю жизнь даже не представляя, что где-то поблизости живут люди с совсем другими интересами и запросами. Hellboy II Music & DW Fandom Organization [20 Jul 2008|10:10am] prchung The Doctor Who fandom compared to what's out there... I'm beginning to come to the conclusion that the Doctor Who fandom is one of the most organized and structured out there on the web. In searching various fandoms (Hellboy to the X-Files, a fandom I used to be deeply involved in) I just do not see the structure that I have when it comes to DW. ( Brief continuation in the cut... ) Hellboy II music of note Went to see 'Hellboy II: The Golden Army' last Saturday, the day after its release. I'd been really looking forward to the movie having loved the first movie. It was good, more campy and comic-like than the first. I thought the first movie was actually very dark and brooding, where as the second was, as I just mentioned more campy. It was still good, and had some great music in it, and not just Danny Elfman's score, but the contemporary rock/pop songs. The one particular song that really, really struck me-- actually had me focusing more on the song than the film the moment it come up, is called 'Why'. It's by a Spanish group called Poet in Process, and they are damn hard to track down! I didn't realize it until my six year old brought it to my attention, in only the way a six year can-- by mistakingly singing another groups lyrics to the song, in particular the Cranberries' 'Zombie'-- that this group does sound somewhat like the Cranberries. For those who have seen the movie; this is the song playing when they are approaching the Brooklyn Bridge... looking for the "market". That's as ambiguous as I can be so not to spoil anything. Anyway, I highly recommend checking this group out, and the only way that I've discovered being able to do so is on their MySpace page (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=85154867). There you can hear full length songs. I had to work at it but I finally found a portable version of 'Why'. It almost impossible to find anywhere. ( Must hear/share music...  ). The song's lyrics are really awesome and the sound is excellent. Also of note is the song 'Beautiful Freak' by the Eels (of 'Souljacker' fame' -- which can be heard on the 'Hot Fuzz' sound track). Dublin adventures (again) [20 Jul 2008|03:56pm] queeniesozz [ mood | okay ] Yesterday was fun. We went to Dublin, mainly because my mum wanted to get more clothes for the holiday, and it was a good day. Everybody seemed to be in a good mood, even Lori, which was a nice change. In Dunnes we were in the queue to pay for our stuff, and there was a family in front of us paying for a large suitcase. The father started shouting at the top of his voice to everybody that they were going on holiday to Salou next week, and the whole shop looked at him. It was quite funny. And I thought my dad was bad, haha. We went into once place and I got this great Who shirt, I would post a picture of it but can't upload any pics to the computer right now. I got all excited over it but my parents both said it would never fit, but the guy who worked there was saying, "You have to try it on" so I did. And it did fit, so I was delighted because I really wanted it. :D The guy was smiling and then he said, "I take it you're a big Who fan then", because I was actually wearing one of my other Who shirts at the time, plus I had been wearing one the last time I was in this place buying my Kids Are Alright one. So I must have looked obsessive, lol. My dad said, "You should see her room!", referring to the pics on my wall and everything, and the guy turned to me and said, "Well at least you've got good taste, it's not like Marilyn Manson and everything" (at this point my sister was disgusted, lol). So I walked out of there happy. In HMV I got 'Do Not Adjust Your Set' on DVD and was delighted. We had something to eat in Burger King, which I didn't enjoy at all. The food wasn't as nice as usual and there was a group of chavs sitting at the table next to us who were very loud and annoying. Then afterwards, walking down the street this woman nearly knocked me over and didn't apologise. When I opened the box of 'Do Not Adjust Your Set' in the car, the DVD was loose (probably from the woman bumping into me) but thankfully it worked alright when we got home. I sat up really late watching all the episodes, which I loved, and even then it took me ages to get to sleep because of a damned bug in my room. There was no sign of it this morning. [20 Jul 2008|09:41pm] _ignoretherain there is a certain silence that fills my head when i hear his voice on the other line; i live for the moments, for the little pockets of time i can steal with him. listening to his laugh leaves me content, and even though we spend hours with silences in between, i don't really care; simply hearing him clicking his keys while he goes into full geek mode and kicks ass in a pvp battle on WoW is more than enough. he never fails to tell me how pretty i am, and i don't think i'd ever stop telling him how alive he makes me feel. periodically, those silences get broken, and there is a tirade of angry words. there is no trust then - we no longer fight on the same side as he defends his heart in a bid to save himself almost as fiercely as i fight to save this; he watches over the edge, his hand only half-extended as he looks down at me while i struggle to hold on to the edge, hanging on for dear life even as he seems to push me away, my fingertips white from trying to grip so tight. remorse follows these crazy little episodes fairly quickly, and he wonders if he's run out of rope; but there is too much love in me for this quiet boy who always makes me feel beautiful and i tell him that he might probably never. and we're alright for a while. he makes me promise that i wont leave him, and though i'd hoped that my sticking through everything is a testament to that, i reassure him i wont. i turn the question back to him, to which he answers, "no, i can't promise that", trying to convince me it's honesty; that he wouldn't make a promise he can't keep... tell me again, what am i fighting for here? Try not to look homeless [20 Jul 2008|11:29pm] muic I have been kinda neglecting lj and my f-list thanks to my internship which while at times fun, is completing exhausting and eating my soul. Ok not that dramatic but it's definitely not doing good things to it. Also I'm getting cross eyed from staring at the computer all day. ANYWAYS. Loads of stuff to squee about like how much love Tina Fey is getting from the Emmys, how the whole cast of Mamma Mia! is so damn cute and all that, how TDK was bigger than awesome and how much I'm loving Weeds this season. Like I'm-so-invested-in-every-storyline-&-not-annoyed-by-anyone-in-the-cast-love. Welcome back show. I can't believe I put off watching it for 2 weeks because I just collapse on my bed when I come home from work. Weeds>>>>>Sleep. ( TDK thoughts; SPOILERS ) So yeah TDK rocked and everybody should see it in the theaters because they do deserve every single cent it earns. Weeds is just awesome this season. I love the new direction it is taking and it's making me discover my deep love for Nancy despite the crap she puts her family through. MLP is very VERY underrated. edit: This definitely needs to be mentioned: the Nancy/Celia hoyay stuff is very hawt and badass. Lost tooth and all. Comments: 1 Red Devil - Glory Glory Man United!

野地的花 [20 Jul 2008|07:33pm] aspettame [ mood | tired ] 我 回来 了! :D :D :D After speaking more Chinese this week than I have in my JC years combined, I can happily say my standard of Chinese has gone up... a little. :D And I acquired a bit of a China accent speaking to the medical students from Shanghai and in my interactions with the locals (though many of them speak Chinese with a completely different pinyin). It'll probably die off in a few days. What to say? Well, my life has really, really been changed by this experience. Without killing the child's heart in me, it has also wised me up and shaken me away from the superficial things in my life. I really want to delete a lot of comms now, looking through my f-list at many things that no longer interest me and that don't matter anymore. Oh, and I've discovered that I can survive all by myself in a hotel room at night. A HUUUUUUGE entry will follow, but I'll spare you the gory pictures of the surgeries. YES THERE ARE PEEK-CHARS! I guess all I can say now is... THANK YOU, LORD. And hurry, it's only up on the site until tomorrow! I impatiently waited for all three parts to be up and I actually managed to keep myself spoiler free so that I could watch it all in one go. I NEVER stay spoiler free. I am amazed by my own will power, teehee. ( Once more I am a Joss Whedon minion ) Royal Mail sucks. There you have it. I waited all bleeding day for the postman to redeliver a package that I couldn't sign for when they first tried to deliver it, simply because I wasn't at home. So I requested a redelivery for today. Nothing. I have been up since 7am and it's more than 12 hours later and I still haven't gotten my package. The worst thing of it all is that my package contains MY NEW PASSPORT. I kinda need it desperately!!! Of course it's a Saturday evening now and of course the help lines are all closed and of course they won't be open on Sunday. Wasted an entire day waiting, because I was told they could come by at any time between 7am - 6pm. *headdesks* Comments: Glory Glory Man United!
