12:46 pm [nekkibasara]	Page 9 of Nero is up! Long overdue... the Ninth page of Timothy Nero has been posted. With the 3D sets for the classroom built, I truly hope that Page 10 won't take long. I actually have some of the character panels finished and colored, since they were orginially intended for Page 9. (Comment on this)

10:16 pm [nekkibasara]	Page 7 Online! I finally finished page 7 of "Timothy Nero". I'm really late with this one because of the construction of the CGI school sets; I think they were well worth the wait. I was also delayed a week simply because I couldn't think of a name for Nero's friend. I know who he's based on in real-life, but I felt the need to change the names to avoid connections to my friends; plausible deniability if you will. ;) Anyway, it's up! 10:43 am [nekkibasara]	Nero Well, the 6th page of "Nero" is long, long overdue. A month overdue to be exact. The sad thing is that the page has been drawn and colored, and all that's left is the dialogue. I despise writing dialogue. I've been using the utter boredom fostered here at work to force myself work on the script. The good news is, future pages are already in the works. I took a trip down to my old highschool over the weekend and had Cyndi take some digital shots of the buildings for reference and possible background mattes for the next couple pages. Ideally, and this project has already been initiated, I want to create a digital 3D version of the highschool that can be manipulated for use as backgrounds. In related news, I registered the comic with www.thewebcomiclist.com. It's some free advertisement and has boosted viewer hits. Now, all I need to do is stop playing with my Sims long enough to update the comic itself. (2 Comments |Comment on this)

6:57 pm [nekkibasara]	Ok, I worked all of today and managed to catch up on the comic. I posted pages of 4 and 5 of NERO about 30 minutes ago. Hooray! Here's a little "Behind the Scenes" trivia for anyone interested; Page 5 was orginally going to be Page 4, but I felt there needed to be something in between; So I spent the last couple hours drawing and coloring to come up with what is now the 4th page. I hope the comic makes sense to everyone. it works in my mind, but I dunno if that's translating well. If anyone has any feedback, please let me know and I will work on making the comic more streamlined and enjoyable. :) (Comment on this)

9:40 am [nekkibasara]	Huzzah! The first page of my epic manga is up in the NERO section of the site. There's no cover yet (I still need to draw it), but click the Issue #1 link and check out Page 1. 9:27 am [nekkibasara]	I decided to do two different comics within the site. The first will still be the Manga style teen melodrama I've been writing; The second will be a series of one-panel snapshots/parodies of everyday life. The inspiration was the idea of being able to do simple, quick, and hopefully humorous glimpses into my day-to-day life. It'll provide the site with some content, while I struggle with the larger comic's story arc. The first of the series is almost done and will directly relate to today's release of STAR WARS: Revenge of the Sith. Current Mood: artistic (Comment on this)

10:04 am [nekkibasara]	Comic Status I worked more on the comic over the weekend. The first page is done and the second page has a rough layout and I've started working on the drawings for it. The plan is for the comic to be done as a series of issues, approximately 12 pages each. The Comic section will host a gallery of thumbnails showing each issue's cover. Clicking the covers will open the specific issue in it's own window. While this takes longer than posting the comic page by page, I think it suits me better; I like the idea of being able to create a concise short episode, beginning to end, before posting it. Hopefully, it won't take me too long to get each issue up once I get my second wind. The fully arc of the comic is already layed out in my head, so now it's just a question of drawing and more drawing. Current Mood: artistic (1 Comment |Comment on this)
