Volume #279 ~ Paintings of You & Only Words
How do we follow up an all eromanga podcast here at the MangaCast? How about an all OEL BL podcast? Mens Love, Global Boys Love, whatever you want to call it?
Iris' first two graphic novels (they have released some prose and an anthology collection) show off how different boys love books can be. Obvious differences in art style, but there is some range to subject matter and how they approach those manly relationships.
Paintings of You
by: Chris Delk & Mia Palluzi
Rated: 13+
Price: $12.99
BL/Comedy-Romance
Claudio might be the new guy on campus but even before his first class he was the center of attention. Considered by critics as up-and-coming genius, Claudio does not feel the title or the attention is deserved. He loves what he does but his art does not express that yet. Maybe love in his life will help him express his emotions through his work. Maybe Beatrice can help? Maybe Dante can help? Benedict is definitely helping but Claudio isn't interested... Right?
Only Words
by: Caroline Monaco and Tina Anderson
Rated: 18+
Price $12.95
ML/drama
German occupied Poland, families have been displaced and those who remain are living on the edge. Seminary student Koby is living the occupation. He sees the desperation in his neighborhood. He has felt what the occupation can do himself. He has felt the power and the aggression. He possibly should remain quiet and keep his feelings to himself. Considering the circumstances no one would look down on that. But he cannot, maybe he does not want to?!
