Rush Site has new Fangs - new title info and new blog
A couple days ago I wrote up my thoughts on the new RUSH site from DQ. At the time the site looked pretty sharp but as it was still very early many of the pages were not fully operational. Well over the few days much of that has changed.

A little more than two days ago brought the launch of the Rush Blog. The blog built around wordpress maintains the same look and feel of the rest of the Rush website and comes pre-loaded with everything a manga blogger/lurker needs....

Do the Mangaka and writers have posting access?... Sure looks like it. Already artists Lara Yokoshima, Goku and Lynsley Brito have chimed in with posts.
Does the blog feature RSS?... Absolutely! I already plugged this into my newscatchers on my Mac, PC, PSP and Palm Pilot. Looks good next to the BroBooks Blog, the ComiPres feed and Ceena's Hatena Diary page.
Are comments open to everyone?... Yup. Don't even need to register. This could be a problem for some sites. I know AoD had its moments with spam. Infinity doesn't even allow comments. Good to see Rush take a chance with this knowing the potential annoyances.
What to expect?... From the looks of things so far, I'd expect more special previews and a lot of interaction with readers.

Okay so the blog is news. And for me it is going to a regular part of my daily routine - brush my teeth, ride bike for 10 miles, study manga, read MangaBlog and Icarus' Blog. However the real news of the day for me was the quiet addition of a new title.

Now I thought I heard about a sixth title for Rush a few weeks back but I did not get the details until I saw a new man of Rush on the homepage (second from the left). The new title is Venom Fang by Lynsley Brito. Lynsley has reworked her online manga with new updated/upgraded art, a rewritten script and changed plot. And if the short sample Lynsley posted is any indication, I think Venom Fang is going to continue to provide more variety to an already diverse line-up.

Venom Fang

Synopsis-

Lan is a bastard child. A series of tragic events leave him orphaned at age twelve, but despite his servant status, he is taken in by his elder half-brother, and has since lived a simple and carefree life.

As the year’s Qing Ming festival draws near, he sets off into the woods, not knowing that fate has designed for him the most telling of encounters -- the key to a secret that will ultimately change his future.

Will Lan be able to face the truth that so threatens to break his mind?

Lynsley Brito (aka `dry ice) is a freelance artist currently enrolled under a graphics design course at the Ateneo de Manila University. Being an overseas Chinese, she has a long-standing interest in the eastern cultures, and likes to infuse such elements in her drawings. She is also working on several comic projects for studios local and abroad, and has dreams of doing this professionally as an illustrator.

(info snatched from Rush site)

Venom Fang will debut in Rush 02. Please go to the Rush site for links to Lynsley's other works.
