Last night I was working (I work at a university housing office), and these two Japanese girls came in with a list of questions to ask us (I guess it was some ESL project of theirs -- they were basic questions like "What's typical Canadian food?" and "What do you think of Canadian fashion?", etc)... Anyway the questions were lame but it let them practice their English, so it was fun.
What was FUNNER was when one of them asked me "How many people are in the typical Canadian family?" And my coworker and I were trying to agree on a number... We were saying 3 or 4 (including parents), but then my coworker mentioned that there are exceptions, such as the large size of Catholic families... To which I said, without hesitating: "Yeah, six kids: Catholic." in my best Jim voice :)
No one got the joke but I was loving it :)
Just thought I'd share my moment!

| Jim Gaffigan Articles |
[09 Jul 2006|06:45pm] |
Hey! It's been awhile since I've contributed anything here, so I wanted to share these newspaper articles I found about Jim Gaffigan. I scanned, cropped, resized, and fixed the coloring myself. Don't worry. I didn't pilfer them from someone.
I uploaded them in my scrapbook and photobucket, but photobucket resized the 317kb one.
Nothing earth shattering in the articles, but it's kind of vindicating to see his popularity growing, you know? ;)

This morning when I checked my myspace(www.myspace.com/justinsktertot if anyone wants to add me) I saw the msg from Jim saying tickets are on sale for his Oct 20 show in St. Louis MO. So I quickly bought 4 tickets. Anyone else going?

I got to see Jim back in May (I had front row center seats!!!), and I also got to meet him. He smelled good, lol. Not that I was trying to smell him, but when he put his arm around me for the picture, I just happened to notice.

Greetings fellow Gaffigan freakz! I just joined like, uh, two minutes ago.
We all know that the only reason we're still alive is because of the heroism of Pale Force.
We all know that we are going to go home to our trailers tonight.
And we certainly all know that Gaffigan IS pope. Hands down.
I thought I'd post some pictures here, I finally got to see Da Man the other weekend. ( I almost fainted. )

This community seems dead and that makes me rather sad. I'm a rabid Conan fan, so I'm familiar with Jim Gaffigan, however I didn't fully realise the brilliance till yesterday when I saw "Beyond The Pale".
So really, this is all I have to say. Wake up guys! Jim Gaffigan is awesome! Spread the love!

I was wondering if anyone perhaps had Beyond the Pale in high quality mp4 format? I would really greatly appreciate it.

Allthough this will most likely get deleted and have people mad at me, please know that I do like the guy, but has he come up with any new jokes at all in the last five years?
I was so damn happy to see he was having a new stand up deal, but I watched it and the only joke that I hadnt heard a million times was the dating a panda one.
Just a waste of an hour of my life. None to happy about it.

[27 Nov 2005|10:07am] |
I got an email from Jim today!
My wife gave birth to a healthy baby boy on Friday. He was 8 pounds and his name is Jack. I don’t know his last name yet. I have to remember to ask the FedEx guy next time he’s here.
Jim
Yay for more crazy white Gaffigan children! Moving closer and closer to "6 kids, Catholic"!

| Jim's appearing on Conan! |
[13 Sep 2005|04:09pm] |
|
This Thursday (9/15/05), Jim will make a return appearance to NBC's Late Night with Conan O'Brien! The show airs at 12:35 AM ET (so technically early Friday), and if it's like when he was on in May, he'll likely be on near the very end of the show.

I love Jim Gaffagan. I'm watch Conan O'Brien all the time so I saw him on there once and haven't missed a late night appearance of his since. :P
Anyway, that aside, I have something Jim Gaffagan-related to post: He's in Sierra Mist commercials now. http://www.mist-takes.com/home.php has stuff to look at...
