General Community Rules:
1. Be respectful and polite. Unintentionally disrespectful comments will receive a warning. Flames, trolling, or other comments which are clearly meant only to offend other members will result in an immediate ban.

2. Only Fic-A-Thon related posts please.

Fic-A-Thon Rules:

RULES:

1. All participants must confirm their intention to participate by the listed deadline.

2. The use of spellcheck and beta readers is strongly encouraged.

3. All assignments must be completed and posted by the listed due date. If an assignment is a few days late it will be forgiven, but if a participant completely fails to complete their assignment they will forever be labled a liou coe shway duh biao-tze huh hoe-tze duh bun ur-tze and their name will be emailed to the reavers.

4. If a participant needs to drop out please inform me so that I can remove your name from the list.

5. All assignments must include a rating based on the US rating system (G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17). If any participant is unfamiliar with this rating system there is plenty of information available through Google. All ratings are allowed.

6. All fics must be Mal/River. Other pairings can be featured, but the overall focus should be on Mal and River as a couple.

7. Everyone who enters can write as many fics as they want. One, obviously, is the minimum.

8. Stories can be any genre as long as the primary genre is Alternate Universe.

9. Stories can be as close to or far from canon as you like. The change can be something as small as Simon being the one at the Academy instead of River, or as large as setting the characters in the real old west.

10. No minimum word count. Just use common sense, no one likes to open a fic only to find that it's a paragraph long and will only take them 10 seconds to read.
