Do you remember the last time we actually hung out? The 3rd was the last time I remember and that is far too long w/out seeing each other. Ever since 7th grade you've almost been like a sister to me and I think we should hang out a lot more. So whenever you get this if you could email me back some thoughts and opinions, that'd be great.

Luke, you make me grin like a crazy grinning thing.  Best guy friend I could ever ask for.

Spending a whole weekend with a bunch of my best friends at the beach...and despite getting sunburned, covered in bug bits, not getting enough sleep, and still trying to fight off a cold, I STILL had an absolutely AMAZING weekend! :D

What made my day:
    We went to watch the flyball tournament at the Classic Center downtown for a little while both today and yesterday.  It's basically a relay race for hyperactive dogs and a dog lover's Heaven.  If speech teams had a Relay for Life and barked, it would be the equivalent of a flyball competition.
    Anyway, there was a group of people heading into the Center as we were leaving, and some guy in bright yellow sunglasses was leaning out of the second floor from the top of the parking garage, singing loudly after them: "Wait!  They don't love you like I love you!"

Crossposted to my regular journal, which I'm actually writing in now.  That makes me smile, too.

I went shopping today, and I realized that it doesn't take much to bring out my inner Southerner.
I never just ignore cashiers, salespeople, etc., but normally I just give them a standard Midwestern "thanks" as I'm leaving the store.  Today, everyone who helped me was personable and genuinely helpful, and they made me smile.  I also had to smile at myself as I walked out of one store and said with a Southern lilt, "Thank youu!"

The first evening I get to have this house (usually filled with 7 students) to myself in almost a year.
A glass of good wine and a playlist full of Bob Dylan is what makes me happy today :)

Staying in with a friend tomorrow and celebrating Gay Pride the right way.
Tons and tons of Queer as Folk. Yay marathons!

life's simple pleasures.
there is this two kids. whenever i see them in my school service smiling and chatting to each other.
it always make me smile.

My husband. Plain and simple. He's the only one in the universe who can truly make me smile and be 100% happy and loved! ♥

I truly believe that I have finally found closure.

I've needed it.  This kid has been on my mind for so long, and shoved to the back of it for just as long, that I really, literally feel like a weight has been lifted off my heart.  My goal for a while has been peaceful coexistence (more commonly known as 'Take a deep breath; we can be friends again.'), and now that I think/hope I'm finally there, I can't wait.

My best friend always makes me smile....especially when she makes faces just to cheer me up ...i love her soooooo.......much

A few of my friends were over at my house yesterday, and one of them was hogging the computer to write a little bit more of her story before everyone else arrived.  Her Word documents wouldn't work on my iMac, so she ended up using TextEdit (which I've never really used) and we discovered that the spell check in that application only works in Spanish.  This, of course, was not beneficial to her writing, but it did crack me up.  Then everyone else got there and we watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail and then did fireworks.  It was a lovely evening.  (:

What makes me smile... my husband writing me the corniest poems, always combining his love for cars with his love for me.... Two points in case:

It's a big story about, uh... me. I had some bad events happened to me recently and have made the decision to not let the bad vibe spread. Today, some more bad things happened to me, but I stayed true to my word and didn't let the bad vibe go on.

Well, I'm still smiling now because I'm totally calm and am very proud of myself for being so effing cool!!! XD

that saturday i had the most perfect first date in the whole world!

-Museum of Fine Arts to see Pompeii
-the most beautiful little italian restaurant, with the most amazing tira mi su
-him not wanting the date to be over so we go and sit in the park until the sun sets and then kiss (i'm not usually a kisser on the first date but it was right)
-then he takes me to see a beautiful little foreign film "jellyfish"

THEN HIM WANTING ANOTHER DATE TODAY!
- he is taking me to the park for a picnic in which he made the dinner, and he is picking me up from my house because he wants to meet my parents and little sister :))))))))))))))))))))

i cannot contain myself, i feel as if i have been constantly blushing all day, and smiling like a fool
