cut or not to cut

My hair is at an awkward length right now, and i'm bored with it. I'm not sure if I should grow it out or cut it.

i think i've figured out what sort of cut i want. only thing is, i need a clearer picture of it to bring to the salon when i go.

like tegan's in this photograph,


i like the choppy look with the sideswept bangs across the forehead. the only style of bangs i really particularly like having on my head, lmao.
can i get some help from anyone finding some better pictures of hairstyles close to this? a good frontal view would be great but anything at all to show it better would be nice. if the lengths very, err on the side of slightly longer rather than shorter. i want to go short, but i'm not comfortable enough to go toooooo short just yet.
