Does anyone know where one might get a quality facial hair prosthesis in Madison or the surrounding area?

And yes this is a completely serious question.

ps2 keyboard?

Does anyone on the east side have an old ps2 keyboard I can borrow/have for a couple bucks? I can't get to SWAP where they're $3 and the only place on this side of town I was able to get ahold of wants $15 for one. I'm having BSOD errors and trying to fix/reinstall XP on my desktop and the XP setup doesn't recognize my USB keyboard.
I'd be able to pick up sometime after 8 this evening (that's when I can get a ride).

Thanks, HM, for being awesome!

FREE ticket to Ellis Concert tonight!

Hi all,

I won two tickets to the Ellis concert tonight at 6:30 at the High Noon Saloon. I only need one, so I'm hoping to find someone else who would like the other one. Since my name is on a list, you would need to meet me at the High Noon at a certain time but then of course you'd be free to sit w/friends or do your own thing! I just don't want the ticket to go to waste and would love to save someone $10.

I am somewhat flexible about a meeting up time, but I'd prefer to there by 6ish so that I can find a table to sit at.

If you'd like the ticket, please email me at edge.ae at gmail dot com. I will try to get back to you ASAP!

Thanks!

mover recommendations

Does anyone have additional mover recommendations to 2 men and Mad City?  Has anyone heard of Wee Haul?  They are a bit less expensive.  Any feedback good/bad would be appreciated.  I saw a previous post about AC transfer but when I called the number I found online it appeared to be a persons voicemail.

Noah's Ark

Howdy all!

It's that time of year, and several people I know (myself included) are planning trips to Noah's Ark. Does anyone know if there are any discount coupons out there? (I didn't get an Entertainment book this year, unfortunately!)

[If this question has already been answered, direct me to the post and I'll remove this one]

Thanks much!

Driving schools for adults?

Hi everyone!

I'm jumping on the get-my-driver's-license bandwagon a little late since I'm 19 (almost 20!). I was wondering if anyone knew of any driving schools for adults around the Madison area, preferably on the east side?

I looked into 4 Lakes Driving School, and they only have classes for teenagers, which sucks, especially because their private lessons cost quite a bit of money.

Thanks in advance! -CC :)

Boxes

Do you have any boxes that you don't want? My husband and I are moving at the end of the month, and I am scouring grocery stores, liquor stores, bookstores, and now [info]madisonwi for boxes. I'd be glad to come pick them up.

Monona Terrace open?

Does anyone know if the Monona Terrace rooftop garden is open for fireworks viewing tonight? The website does say it's open until midnight on Saturdays, but they didn't mention holidays.

Thanks!

Fireworks

I missed the fireworks last weekend, and I missed them tonight.

Anyone know of any tomorrow night or sunday?

Thanks!

EDIT: Thanks for all your input folks, I think we're going to go to Monona tonight. :)

I swear something about my yard attracts all the stray animals in the neighborhood

Are you missing your golden retriever? There is a big beautiful dog with no collar hanging out in my yard on Baldwin. If you know him, please come and get him. He's not causing any trouble, and he is super friendly, but no one in our building knows him or has ever seen him before.

Elver Park fireworks?

I fear the trees on our block have finally grown tall enough that we won't be able to see the fireworks from our driveway this year.  So... anyone here know any good out of the way-ish spots to view the extravaganza?

Thanks!

Estate planning

My family has some ducks we need to get into rows, and our life situation has become complicated enough that the will-in-a-box software isn't going to cut it anymore. We would like to engage the services of an experienced attorney with a specialty in wills and trusts. Before we take a stab at the names in the phone book, does anyone have recommendations or experiences to share? I'd be most grateful.

alterations

I have a few bridesmaids dresses that need to be altered. Any recommendations? (West side and fast turnaround time would be ideal, but anywhere in Madison or Middleton would work. Or Verona.)
