AboutMadcity
That's Life in the Madcity is a community dedicated to discussions of Madison, Wisconsin. The central theme for the community is life in the city of the perpetually offended, news, community events, politics, and everything that makes Madison uniquely Madison.
This community is for intelligent discussion, thoughtful posts, and the occasional rant or gripe. We want to hear about issues that affect our community and what people's thoughts are about them. We'd like to read about people's experiences living in Madison - good or bad - and how they've coped with life's challenges or enjoyed the many bounties of this fair city.
This is a newer community, as of spring 2004.

About your Moderator
A long-time Dane County resident, I've lived in Madison proper for about four years.
Madison is a unique and wonderful community in so many ways that I can hardly imagine living anywhere else. And yet, I've got gripes that make me wonder why I'm putting up with it. It's an interesting dichotomy.
I'm a professional in the IT industry, and enjoy LiveJournal way more than I should.
