| Welcome to Mad Muses! This is a muse community that has been inspired by pretty much every other muse community out there. Your mods just decided they wanted one of their own. Cause you can never have too many, yes? |
| THE RULES, THE INFO, HOW TO JOIN, ALL THAT HAPPY STUFF |
| 1) Be nice to each other. Your mods understand that not everyone likes everyone, and not all muses are going to like each other. That? Is perfectly fine. Bring on the IC drama. It's fun, and we all get to sit around with popcorn and watch the cat fights and slug fests while placing ludicrous bets. What is not fine is unnecessary drama and wankage. Keep IC conflicts out of OOC interactions. Avoid those you don't like. See? See how easy World Peace could be? 2) Topics will go up bi-monthly (or at the beginning of the month, if the mods get behind). They will be pretty much whatever your mods feel like putting up that month. It could be anything: lyrics, quotes, jumping off points, pictures, or whatever creative little stuff pops into their heads. Your mods are also ALL ABOUT topic suggestions, so if you have any, drop us a comment HERE. Likewise, any and all responses are acceptable. Ficlets, RP posts, graphics, lists, whatever you're inspired to do, whatever you're moved to post, post it! 3) Sound interesting? Think you might want to join? Awesome. Here's what you do. Go to THIS POST, fill out the required stuff. More likely than not? You're in. A mod will reply and send you an invite. You may post an introduction in the OOC community, either in character or out. Neat, huh? 4) We request that all posts in the comm either be cut to your journal, or placed behind a Livejournal cut. This is to spare people's friends lists. It's polite! Likewise, all adult content--which is totally allowed--must be MARKED. No one can complain, that way. If they read it, it's their own fault. 5) So now you're probably wondering, "What about activity checks? How often do I have to post? Damn, I'm hungry, I wonder if there's any moo shu pork leftover from last night? *fridge rummage*" Well, my friend, there is no moo shu pork leftover from last night, because I ate it all. *burp* And as far as activity checks? I would love it every member of the community was active and posted every month, two or three times a month. Alas, there is this little thing called 'REAL LIFE.' So there will be NO activity checks. Post when you can, when you feel moved. This is all for fun, yes? 6) So now we've moved on to "Damn you for eating all the moo shu pork! What about duplicate muses?" First of all, damn, I'll order a pizza, a'ight? Second, I will absolutely allow duplicate muses. This may bother some people. That puzzles me. I'm terribly puzzled. But they will be allowed. If there are five Harry Potters and ten Peter Petrellis and 17 versions of The Doctor? I say the more the merrier. 7) Posts should be tagged like this: let's say Daphne Millbrook from Heroes is posting. *buffs nails* She will tag her post as follows: fandom: heroes, muse: daphne millbrook, journal: speedster_girl. Original characters that are fandom based may tag their posts with both fandom: original character and whatever fandom they're affiliated with. It makes it much easier to find things that way. Now you're thinking "Wait, if there's no activity check, why must I tag my posts? And when's the damn pizza getting here?" It'll get here when it gets here, sheesh! As for the tags? Your mods like it that way. 8) What fandoms are acceptable? Anything and everything. 9) So who do you contact with questions and concerns? Why you contact your friendly neighborhood mods, HERE. 10) Oh, and one final rule. YOUR MODS DEMAND THAT YOU ALL HAVE FUN. YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE FUN, AND YOU'RE GOING TO LIKE IT!!
