7:39 pm - Fake pigment?

aroundmysoul
I received a White Gold pigment in the mail today but I am thinking it's a fake for a couple reasons. I was wondering if anyone could help me decide. I really want to file a paypal dispute as soon as possible if it does turn out to be fake. I took a bunch of pictures (eight to be exact).

2:18 am - iso + questions

suessmilch

ISO:

Passions of Red Smokey Eyes pallete - would anyone be interested in swapping theirs?

On to the questions:

1.) Have the black bristles on MAC brushes changed over time?
I don't have any MAC face brushes with black bristles, so I am relying on your wisdom :-).
I have a 109 SH (ETA: from Catherine Deneuve collection in 2006!) thanks to an awesome member here, but it makes my face itch (yes, even freshly washed).
Then a MAC MA used a black bristle brush once on me which itched, but it might be an older version because it came from her brush belt...?

I am asking because I am planning to buy a 165 (I guess it's made of animal hair?) when the Dsquared2 collection is coming out, but if the bristles are still the same that would clearly make no sence.

Is there a way to make the bristles waaay softer?

Or a good dupe for the 165?

2.) Are the MAC powder blushes with a matte finish mica free?
I heard that + it would be awesome to find a mica free blush!

Also, if you are pale and have a picture wearing one of them, please post it!

I hope this hasn't already been posted otherwise I'll look like a douche but...

pro pans etc are now available on www.maccosmetics.co.uk :)

edit: i think only four pans available, can't see 15 palettes unless i'm being blind? blush refill and palette are def there tho.

6:30 pm - Malm Mirror at Ikea

have_faithe
This mabey slightly off topic...but i was at ikea today, due to the sale going on until sunday and the malm mirror is on sale!!! I've seen this mirror posted in this community several times before with the malm vanity. It is the size of a full length mirror but sits horizonatly and the two end fold inwards. Regularily $149, i got it for $49! Both colors are on sale. The mirror is unfortunately not listed online, but is in most stores in the mirror section. Im in canada if it makes a difference. I also scooped up the smaller malm vanity, but since i move 4 hours away at the end of august for school, i have to wait to set it up in my new place :(  Hopefully this helps someone, i was so excited when i saw it on sale, and immediately though of this group

6:26 pm - foundation questions!

heliumhead
hey guys!

haven't been posting in a while and today i just come bearing questions!
might have a few looks coming up for next week though!

so, i've never used any of mac's foundations or other skin stuff.
now i'm looking to get some for my kit, but since the only store is two hours away, i'm going to have to buy them blind. scary.

since i know all the mac knowledge in this community is beyound par, would anybody be willing to give me a quick run down of what foundations do what! just quick general info about what kind of coverage they give and what skin types they suit. when i narrow it down to a few that sound most suitable i can do more research on those myself! right now i just don't even know where to start, so i'm thankful for any help!

thank you lovelies!
hope everyone has a good weekend coming up!

creampuffer5
Does anyone want a BN Hand-Finish blush from the new collection?  I went in to get Hand-Finish and Daft Pink and got 2 HF's.   I know that they end up tossing the returned items so I figure I better sell it to someone who is planning on getting it anyway.  It would $21+$1.47 (7% tax) +$2.00 shipping = $24.47

Feeback on mua and Specktra under CreamPuffer and on ebay under bluemagic_1
