    Torchwood Wobblevision
It's taken me a while, but I've finally finished producing the episode of Torchwood Wobblevision I directed at Eastercon LX. Hope you enjoy it!

    LX pictures
I only took a small number of pictures at LX, and most of those were of the beer tasting session.

    Here they are anyway:

    Shots From Rock Band

Taken by the wonderful John Dallman, a full set of these are now up on Flickr.

There was rock, there was roll, there was overacting, girls kissing and more posing than a KISS gig...

And, of course, there was Con-Monkey (photo by John).

Go take a look - and remember the madness...

    Tarot reading
I donated two Tarot readings to the GUFF auction.  One of the winners caught up with me and we had a nice quiet reading in the Courtyard bar.

I don't know who won the other one, but if they get in touch with me, I'd be happy to do the reading over the phone.

    Lost book
Forgot to check with ops before heading back to my hotel - has anyone handed in a copy of HUNTED by James Alan Gardner? I had it this morning, lost it some time during the afternoon.

    Small (or maybe large) glitch

My wallet is missing. Everything is in it, including my passport. The last
time I know for sure I had it was at a Thai restaurant for lunch yesterday -
they open at noon, so I won't know until then.

But if it doesn't turn up, I will be spending the weekend replacing credit cards
and passport, instead of at EasterCon.

I am NOT a happy person right now.

    Copying facilities?
Is there a copy machine in the Con hotel (or one of the other ones) where I can make a few dozen copies of the words to songs for the Easter Sunday service?  And how much does it cost per copy?

    No Eastercon for us :(
Stuff (servers) blew up at mrnazz' work requiring a big job doing tomorrow, so we're stuck in London.  Very sorry not to see everyone :(

    Monday Evening event
For those of you staying for the Monday evening, we'll be organising a small and friendly singalong-a-view type thing, to get you warmed up with a couple of well known genre musical screenings. (exact shows tbc when I've checked what will play on what kit, will confirm early in the weekend)

Once you have warmed up and are at the peak of your musical ability (or have had enough beer), we'll bring out the singstar. (yes!!! no!!! really, we will!!!)

If we have enough entrants, there will be prizes for
    - highest score
    - lowest score even though you were making an effort (silent people will be disqualified!)
    - most entertaining performance

We would love to see, and hear, those of you still about. You're also welcome to come and spectate, although no throwing peanuts during my own performance.

    See you all soon!

What exactly is there for children to do at this con?
I distinctly recall that you said there would be parent and child programme items "In place of the creche".  But there seems to be very little to do with a 5 year old apart from the Punch and Judy show.  Any ideas?

    Easter Sunday Service planning meeting!
We will have a planning meeting for the Easter Sunday Service on Saturday at 5:30, probably in the Real Ale Bar (or there-abouts.)  Please bring anything you have that you think would make a contribution to the service.  Some of you have already written to me about a poem, song or story that you'd like to share...please bring with you!  If you'd like to lead a song, please try to bring copies of words (about 30 copies should be fine!)

The service last year was lovely, in part because so many people contributed in a small way.  EVERYONE is welcome to come to the planning meeting, even if you feel like you don't know how you could help.

We will be following a standard order of service as in the Book of Common Worship, but how the service proceeds is up to us.  There will be Holy Communion served, as well.

    Future Bristol Launch at Eastercon
Just a note to announce the launch of Colin Harvey's "Future Bristol" anthology, which will be taking place at the Eastercon hotel on Sunday, April 12th between 2pm and 3.30.

Liz Williams, Stephanie Burgis, Andy Bigwood, Gareth L Powell, Christina Lake and Colin Harvey will all be attending to perform readings and sign copies of the book.

And if that wasn't incentive enough, I'm told there will also be tea and muffins...

    Internet at the Cedar Court?
The Cedar Court Hotel is claimed to have wireless Internet available in the rooms, but is also claimed to charge a pretty stonking GBP15/hour for it.
Has LX managed to get any discount on this for people staying there (or is that rate just not true)?

Anyone Driving Back to Dublin After LX?
I'm looking for someone who might be driving back to Dublin after LX.

I'm doing the Alan Moore Show & Tell panel on Saturday at 11am, and have managed to get a box full of things brought over to Bradford for this, as we're flying, and there's no way I could have brought all I needed to bring on as plane, especially if I wanted to bring any actual clothes as well! So, I'm hoping there might be at LX who would be returning to Dublin, or even elsewhere in Irealnd, who might be able to put a box full of things in their car so that I can get my treasures back in reasonably short order...?
