i need your help! [16 Jul 2008|11:19pm] nina22o2 [ mood | good ] hey l word fans, i don't know whether this is allowed here. if not, feel free to delete this post. i'm writing a paper on how popular culture has an impact on the way people think and act and i'm planning on taking the l word as a tv show example. now, there haven't been a whole lot of studies on this subject so far, so i'm kind of dependent on what you guys think. so... would you say that the public opinion on lesbians or homosexuals in general has changed since shows like the l word or queer as folk went on air? do you think people have become more apathetic about gay love scenes on tv than they used to be? have these shows helped making homosexuality become more "normal" to the general public? maybe you've had some personal experiences linked to this? a few comments from you would help me SO much. thanks in advance!! 9 Commented ~*~ post a comment

Erin Daniels in "Swingtown" [14 Jul 2008|09:14pm] lore_85 has anyone seen the Episodes of "Swingtown" in which Erin plays Sylvia...? it's a new Series on CBS and in some way i really like it... Erin was great. she appeared in 3 of the aired 6 episodes so far... i don't if there will be some more with her. we will see... and i really hope so... i was great to see her again... even as a blond swinger in the 80s... so not Dana, but still very nice. and i realized how much i miss her on the l word. she is such a great actress... if anyone want any screencaps from her on "Swingtown", i uploaded the aired episodes so far... you can find them HERE... Also, we are in talks with a former L Word cast member (and writer) about being in it...so that's something that may be happening very soon...and which makes me VERY excited. So the series is FEED, It's political and edgy and sexy...
