First update in a while!

Sorry guys....winter break, but no tablet pen = no updates. But never fear! Instead of the recent comics, I've been working on a backlog for a more interesting plot. You'll see it when the time comes. In the meantime, I'm going to try to get back to updating once a week.

There haven't been any updates for the past couple weeks because of my heavy class load. Fear not! For I have fixed that by dropping the one class I have on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Now I have plenty of time to update Lust for Freelance, as well as The Special Adventures of H&K.
Happiness for everyone.

The reason I didn't update this week is because I'm sick. Sorryyyy

Err....instead of a comic, I updated the website with a new poll!

Comicgenesis is back up and working again, finally.
I have been updating on my deviantart account but now there is no more need.
The two pages I drew during comigen's weird non-working period have been updated and everything's back on schedule. (horrah!)

Speaking of schedule, I've been sort of updating on either Wednesdays or Fridays. This was an attempt to do twice a week. So check on either day for a comic and you might be surprised.

I just counted, and Lust for Freelance is up to 170 strips! One hundred seventy! That's a lot. For two years, that's not so bad, considering I took a break for about three months ^^;
I noticed that I used to update twice a week. During these summer days, I think I might go back to doing that. If I can get a good rythm going, I'll be at 200 in no time!

Hi all! I updated the website (finally!)
Here's some of the things I changed, and you should go check out:

-Updated the cast page with new images and birthdays
-Updated the gallery
-Added 4 new polls to the main page
-changed all the colours
-made all the links work
-Added new MIDI files and lyrics to the G&S page

I'll be writing in here more often. Mostly it'll be about updates and excuses for late ones....

State of the Union, feb 2007

I wonder if any of you are still reading the comic...

Anyway, I was asked the other day by a friend if I could give a current summary of what's been happening in the comic for those who don't really have time to go back and read the entire thing. (even though it's pretty short)

So, here goes:

BOOK 1

There's a demon named MOHEI, drinking in a bar in a dwarf town. The human woman SONJA, meanwhile, is buying a sword there, hears MOHEI singing, and joins in. They become fast friends and decide to travel together.

We figure out something has gone horribly wrong with the human race, and that it is rare to see a human travelling nowadays.

They enter the YOT clan demon metropolis YAKUEL, where MOHEI is chased around because his clan and the YOT clan are at war. SONJA finds the half-demon LOWE, and they rescue MOHEI, because LOWE is actually a traitor to the YOT clan.

That night, while MOHEI and SONJA are sleeping, LOWE is visited by a cloaked figure, and they seem to do business with eachother.

It is inferred that the ELVES and the YOT clan demons are at war.

In the morning, MOHEI burns off the clan tattoo on his cheek in order to escape YAKUEL without notice. He and SONJA are heading off north towards a forest when LOWE catches up with them and asks if he can travel with them.

We meet the DEMON KING and find out that the YOT clan is losing on the Southern front of the war.

In the forest, MOHEI, SONJA, and LOWE find a place to rest for the night, and LOWE goes off to bathe in a spring. He is followed back by an ELVEN SCOUT. As MOHEI and LOWE are sleeping, SONJA is lured away from her watch post by an intruiging smell. LOWE wakes up and encounters the cloaked figure once more, and he goes off to talk with him. While MOHEI is all alone, A THEIF looks through his bag. MOHEI wakes up, but before he can do anything, the THEIF uses magic to disappear. The ELVEN SCOUT then finds him and arrests him.

The ELVEN SCOUT interrogates MOHEI while holding him under a binding spell, and takes off MOHEI's bandage (he had bandages covering his cheek since he burned off his clan tattoo) only to find a single cross-shaped scar.

FLASHBACK TO MOHEI'S PAST.

We find out MOHEI was actually an assasin, teamed up with the elf, FREG, also the THIEF from before. Their last mission was for MOHEI to disguise himself as a YOT clan member and assasinate the ELVEN EMPORER. When erasing MOHEI's fake YOT tattoo the morning after the job, FREG accidentally erased MOHEI's memories as well. Stuck with an amnesiatic MOHEI with a mission debriefing coming up soon, FREG is at a loss for what to do.

Something happens (we do not know exactly what) that endangers their lives, and FREG is assumed to have died.

END FLASHBACK.

LOWE saves MOHEI from the ELVEN SCOUT by knocking him out. They go looking for SONJA. LOWE doubts MOHEI'S reasons for exploring around dangerous territory, and MOHEI doubts LOWE's reasons for following him.

FREG and the CLOAKED FIGURE have a chat about what FREG found when the ELVEN SCOUT revives and punches FREG in the face. FREG then kills the ELVEN SCOUT with a spell. The CLOAKED FIGURE assigns FREG to follow MOHEI, SONJA, and LOWE to DEATH's MASQUE LAKE.

SONJA is found sleeping and dreaming of her MOTHER and her BROTHER. She rejoins LOWE and MOHEI and kills them a beast for breakfast. FREG clears them a path to the lake.

We meet generals RASHIR and PLETEK of the YOT clan army, and also HIGH GENERAL YOSHEN is mentioned. The DEMON KING calls a meeting.

MOHEI, SONJA, and LOWE reach the misty DEATH'S MASQUE LAKE at the edge of the forest and see a sign pointing to OSLAND. They decide to go there, despite LOWE'S warnings that it might be just like YAKUEL. FREG is following them.

END BOOK 1.

Well...it's official!
Lust for Freelance is finally updating again.
We've new characters, new plots...better art (I hope!)
And maybe I will finally start posting fanart and stuff...

The comic is about 2 and a half years old and around 120 pages long. This has been a long ride, and nothing like school or work is going to stop me for too long.

Take me to the comic!

Well, there should be a comic up later today (I just finished a page yay) and possibly even another up tomorrow. I got a day off, so I will be comicking all day~~

Only problem is, I get writer's block all the time......argh! Stuff like, "what should they say? What should I reveal? I'm so confused, what's going on? What will make this flow better?"

I really commend the people that are staying with me so far. Good job! You are so forgiving. (sigh)

Heyy! I am updating twice this week to make up for last week's lack of comicky goodness.

Well, I have moved...and I plan to continue updating! My goal has changed slightly, though: I plan to update at least once a week. Not on a certain day, but at least once a week. I think this will give me more breathing room (especially since I'm pretty busy with school and also need a job)

...I'm also thinking of have the whole comic in colour. It'll be a big strain, but really nice. (this is just a thought, though)
