A Spectre Unexpected (a Snupin comic): Part One
As promised here I have been working on a comic. I started this before the Resurrection Fest but it fits rather well.

I still need a title. Any suggestions extremely welcome. I'm terrible at titles.

Thanks to the lovely and wonderful and beautiful [info]blpaintchart I now have a title!

A Spectre Unexpected

The cover is now avaliable here.

Here are the first five pages. Enjoy!

I long to talk with some old lover's ghost,
Who died before the god of love was born.

- John Donne, Love's Deity

Meep!
This is sooooo lovely.
Ooh! the detail of Lupin looking in the mirror &... Wow! all the clever angles and... Yum! for their clothing and... I'm trying to find something for Kapow! but can't.

Shall keep trying to think of a suitable Snupin Shed title. Hmmmmm.

Thank you! *is so relieved that it works*
Kapow! itself is worth it! I'll do a lot for a kapow!

This is really excellent. I love Harry's dad's messy hair, and Snape's grumpily guilty lines of dialog. I'm going to join [info]blpaintchart in thinking about the title.

*ruffles James's hair* I wanted there to be some sort of thought for Snape with that Resurrection Stone scene. The joys of fanon!

Gorgeous. The third page is my favourite. Severus sitting with his knees drawn up to his chest (wibble), and his nose, and Remus' eyes, yum. This is great. I can't wait to see more! Hmm. Titles...I also suck at titles. I mean, heck, I'm the girl who's just making her way through the "re" entries in the dictionary. ^_~

Wow, this is great! So many things to love: the use of the mirror (first reflecting Severus' body, and then with Remus and the 'beastly reflection), Severus all huddled up in the corner with his perfect combination of sarcasm, guilt and wounded sulkiness, Remus trying to help him...just great. Well done, and I look forward to more of it.

I vote for 'A Spectre Unexpected,' but I'll have to think and see if any good ideas come to mind.

I'm liking A Spectre Unexpected, I have to say. Glad to have the vote of confidence.
'wounded sulkiness' -I like that! It's a very nice phrase. Sounds just right for our Severus.
Thank you!

I could revive you through abuse but I think you'd rather stay unconscious.
I don't think the Shack's that bad ... no worse than my house last year sometimes...
I seem to have missed the swabbing out of this comic. Drat...

This is lovely. The bit about the mirror was clever, and Snape getting up to put some distance between them was so painful...

I´ll be waiting for the next part. ^^

I worry about how much time I've spent on this. I should be looking for a job...
But hey, who needs jobs when there are people on the internet who say nice things?

I love their body language - all of the characters. I giggled at Harry looking beat-up and confused in the first panel. James' hair is so wild! Love it!
Dead!Snape kinda messed me up a bit, those bloody eyes, just... staring *shudders* and oddly enough, I liked the books on the shelves in the Shack.
*is strange, I know*

and

I absolutely ADORE Snape's ... everything.. in the second-to-last panel! I mean, tons of GUH! He's so accidentally sexxxxxxxxyyyyy, all his hair flowing and his arms crossed looking so very 70s disco king !
Looking forward to more.

I loved drawing dead!Snape. You think you're strange...
I do like drawing in books, I have to say. I drew bits of Spinner's End at one point and had fun with Snape's interior decor. And I did a Snape's Office sign for our Yule Ball which has his bookshelves with as many titles as I could think of.

Agh, Snape with a medallion. Picture that... :o I prefer to think lonely hero ... well, more on that on page eight...*teases*

Severus is always difficult. Part of the genius of Snupin is that Lupin knows exactly what to do with him.

And yes. He really should have been there in that scene.

Awesome comic, hun, and so sweetly sad too! If they can't be together in real life then I'm satisfied with the thought of them being together in the afterlife. At least then they're unlikely to have the same amount of drama to contend with. Maybe. XD

::pets the boys:: more soon, yes? ;)
Peace,

Do you have this comic in a PDF or on another site? I'm on dial-up and the pix are all cut-off from the first top inch.

I don't, unfortunately. I'm not very good at clever computer things and wouldn't know how.
I could email the files to you - though I don't know if that would kill your internet too. I haven't been on dial-up in years.
