Has anyone in the US been able to snatch up their copy of #7 yet?
I live in Missouri, and I've checked three places that I know normally carry it -
They all told me that the mag is in their system, but they can't find it on their shelves.
I'm getting a bit worried, but I know they could'nt have sold out because I've called nearly every day since the 8th (the release)!

Lula is due to hit American bookstores on the 8th of September, and it seems as if there are two covers, one featuring Ali Michael (left), and the other, Audrey Marnay (right).


Judging by the editorials scanned to TFS, it seems as if Lula's adopted a fairly gothic aesthetic. What are your thoughts?

Okay!  A challenge for the community. No prizes, not a contest - just something for all of us to do!

Style a model (you can choose her, or just create the outfit) using clothing from the A/W 2008 fashion season. Post your outfit in the comments!

Guidelines:
a) Your outfit should reflect Lula's style.
b) You must credit the designer items! (If you aren't sure, just say so!)
c) No criticizing someone's outfit. If they're lacking an accessory, feel free to say, "Hey, this would go great with your outfit!"

I am planning to whip up a small batch of Lula icons as well to post. Kudos to nativegirl for starting this community - Lula is a fabulous magazine that deserves to be appreciated!

Sorry that I haven't done much to get this community off of its feet, but it seems as if there's already a post (yay)! Also, I think Lula sort of advertises itself, so I haven't done any promotion yet - but of course, feel free to!

The cover of the S/S 2008 issue has surfaced, and the issue will supposedly be released in March.



If you're unsure of where to find Lula, I've seen it at Barnes & Noble, Borders, and magazine stands. If you don't see it in the Fashion section, check the culture or photography section (this is where B&N keeps theirs)! Also, if anyone knows of any other places to find it (in certain cities or online), feel free to let us know!

As we all know Kirsten Dunst was guest editor of the latest installment of Lula, therefore my question to you is, who would you like to see as guest editor in the future?

Personally I think Zooey Deschanel, Anna Friel & maybe Charlotte Gainsbourg for a foreign twist would be perfect!
