Mini LS Update and General Warning
Hi everyone! P-chan here once again ^_^ I just wanted to pop on by and let you guys know what LS has been up to since finishing up Code Blue. We're moving forward (slowly but surely) with Ningen Shikkaku as well as Isshun no Kaze ni Nare (Isshun 2 will be out whenever I stop being lazy and encode the darn thing >_<). At the moment we are putting the Kurosagi movie first. Because we had some difficulty with the raw file, the production time really got delayed. Big thanks to Ri-chan from Kioku for helping us solve the audio issue. No audio = no timing T_T For those of you who read Kioku's LJ entries, you'd be aware of Ri-chan's 2 week trip to Japan. For those that don't, well you know now =p Ri-chan is part of the Kurosagi subbing team and we hope to expect her back on the project once she returns (and return with lots of awesome photos to show me!! XD). I really wouldn't expect this project to be out anytime before early November.

But anyway for the second part of my entry. Remember when I have mentioned that I have caught some kind of virus and that kinda made subbing extremely difficult since I couldn't use my desktop computer (again, kudos to all of you who gave me and the community great links to anti-virus programs)? Well I caught something again... BUT!!! this time I really caught the culprit this time. I'm sure you guys will find this hard to believe but I have finally caught it in action. It's coming from D-Addicts. Because D-Addicts do have advertisements on their page and it is streamed from an outside source, it has become a place for what they call "drive by downloads." It is called that because the user is usually not aware that something is being downloaded (even though you're not actually hitting a download button, all images and pages are downloaded to your computer in temporary files). You can catch something just by visiting a website. D-Addicts probably doesn't know about this problem at all but there isn't anything they can do about it. I strongly encourage all of you to have some sort of anti-virus program on your computer(s) and make sure they are updated and also loaded with realtime scanning. We can catch something even on our usual favorite websites without knowing. I thought I'd throw this piece of info out there since I'm sure most of us do use d-addicts a lot and lots of other sites. Definitely want to make sure that all of our computers are protected from harm. Nothing sucks more than losing hundreds of files and drama episodes!

EDIT: Just because I got something from D-A doesn't mean that's the only place I got all my spyware, adware, and viruses from. One thing I noticed was that from time to time on D-A, my computer would make more noise than usual and I can see on the status bar that it is trying to connect to some unknown site.  You won't catch something on the same site and every time. That's why it's a "drive by download". ANY site can have something... especially if it has advertisements or anything streaming in from an outside source. This time, after I saw my computer working harder than usual, I didn't try to stop what's going on but instead watched it to see what would happen and afterwards I got so many ads popping up it was driving me crazy.

Code Blue Is Finished!
P-chan here again ^_^ First, I just want to say thank you to everyone and your well wishes. Yes, having no power totally sucked!! I live in Ohio so pretty much I just got what was left of Hurricane Ike. Who would've thought wind can do so much damage? I can't even imagine that storm being a hurricane down in the south _o_ During the wind storm, I was pretty much finished working on Isshun no Kaze ni Nare episode 2 when the power decided it wanted to turn off _o_ so I lost the entire styled/QC file (boy was I pissed). Now I have to begin again -_-

Code Blue is finally done and Love Song has decided we will spend the Fall season finishing up what we don't have finished. Thanks for everyone who have supported us and watched our work. So yes, life kinda got in the way during the last two episodes for us but stuff like that happens. We're just glad that everyone is understanding. Episode 11 definitely took some extra time since I didn't have power and then the karaoke has changed _o_ why they couldn't keep it the same, I dunno. But that took some extra time to do since the translators had to translate and then I had to re-time and apply the effects. But hopefully you guys will find it enjoyable. It's a great song and I think it is very fitting for this drama.

I'm sure some of you are also wondering about the Kurosagi movie... yep, we're still doing this with Kioku. Both teams are now gathering its staff and we should be starting soon.

No Power
I'm currently updating from my cellphone. Thanks to Hurricane Ike I have no power until possibly Sunday. Such an uncontrolled event is really pushing our releases far back. I would like to ask for your patience. There really isn't much we can do about releasing until I can get power back but the team is definitely try to work around me so we're not all stalling. That's all I have for now. Luckily I have some internet on my cellphone =p take care you guys

EDIT: You guys must've brought me some good luck or something. I was bored outta my mind lying in bed when the power flickered and then came back on!! XD The phone line was still down but after half an hour, that came back on too meaning I can finally get back online (thank gawd!). First things first... get Code Blue 10 out!! I'm praying for a midnight release!! hurry hurry hurry...

Code Blue 9 Release

Thank you to everyone for their support and definitely their help with my computer situation. Everyone's input really helped a lot. I want to give a big big BIG thank you to [info]bakura_revenge for pointing me to a great malware website. I had other anti-virus programs on the computer but obviously they didn't do the job. While the others say there are no other potential threats, the program from that website brought up 29 more infections. After that was cleared, the computer was as good as new. That was definitely the green light I needed to safely encode and release Code Blue 9. I just want to give everyone a heads up that I just started to encode 9 so you will see it up on d-addicts in a few hours ^_^

And like I stated in the previous post, Rei will be taking her business trip to Japan starting tomorrow and will be there for a week. We will proceed with episode 10's quality check when she comes back. May she have a safe trip and not work too hard! =p I believe episode 11's release will be back on track with our usual release day(s). If not, it'll probably be delayed a day or two.

As for the Kurosagi movie project, Kioku and LS probably won't be deciding on how to split the work just yet. We'll wait until we have the movie in our hands before we decide on it. Both groups are currently working hard on our projects. One project at a time... ^_^

Code Blue 9 & 10 Delay
So... out of nowhere my computer decides that it doesn't really want to work correctly anymore. I must've picked up some sort of virus when I was downloading a DDL of Gokusen 3 or torrenting something. Many websites don't work, email doesn't work, d-addicts doesn't work... I really do not want to risk encoding Code Blue 9 in case there is something on the computer and the file gets infected. The episode is definitely ready to be encoded and released but I rather not take that risk of infecting thousands of computers with something.

Code Blue 10 will be delayed because our translator and quality checker Rei will be on a business trip (to Japan I think... of all places XD). Rather than switching up QCers, we have decided that it is best to stick with the same people so the quality is consistent. I know this may be a little bummer for you guys since now both LS and Querbeet are going through our personal issues (mine being my darn computer). But just hang tight with us.
