While we're finishing up our latest project, I just want to give everyone a heads up concerning the first episode of Buzzer Beat. Because I will be attending Otakon that weekend in Baltimore, Maryland, the release may be delayed about a day or two. My trip is from Thursday to Monday. I have already made arrangements with the team to work around my parts so that the project is still progressing while I am away. I will be taking my laptop with me to the convention. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there will be free internet so I can check in with the team and possibly get some work done at the convention itself.

For those of you who are attending the convention, please stop by "The Ins and Outs of Japanese Drama" and "Johnny's World: A Look into Johnny's and Associates" panels and say hi! ^_^ ladymercury of SBK Fansubs and I will be hosting those two panels Friday night starting at 8:45pm. You might be able to get a glimpse at what we are working on for our new projects before the release ^.~

As always I want to thank you for your patience and your support. Even though I will be away, I don't want to come back and rush through this project without the proper quality checks to make sure everything is up to quality. But believe me once I get back from my trip, I will be pulling quite a long night to make sure that episode 1 will not get in the way of episode 2's progress. There is a new softsub group subbing this drama as well. You may check out their release if you do not wish to wait for Love Song's.

The last episode of RESCUE will be out sometime this week or next. Thanks to everyone who just gave me the space that I needed. It was a very rough June for me starting with my tooth to ending up getting laid off from work. Things indeed to come in threes. Something else also happened but it's even more personal, but anyway June was like the biggest nightmare of my life - literally. But I have now gotten through crap and really trying to stand back up on my own two feet. But just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has been so patient. I know this series has been dragged out because of lack of motivation on top of people's personal issues. Just want to get through this hurdle as well and hopefully get back on track with Buzzer Beat.

I also want to bring this up because it has been a huge issue amongst the fansubbers. As some may know, you can't find all of your downloads at d-addicts anymore. Why? Because people feel that they have the right to abuse the fansubbers and their works. How hard is it NOT to put it up on streaming media? How hard is it just to follow one simple rule? Now you have subbers posting on private forums and LJ communities. Some have open memberships but some are closed. It's harder to obtain different subbed series now. But what can we do? We love what we do but we don't want to get in trouble for it. After thinking long and hard, I really don't want to move Love Song's work onto anything too private for we are doing this for the j-drama community. I just keep on hoping that the community will help us subbers fight back when it comes these wrong-doings by fellow watchers. If one group goes down, it's only a matter of time before everyone gets wiped out. It's really too bad because I really feel for all of those who sub. We're getting pushed back into a corner now.

Of course something totally unexpected comes up and just kinda messes my schedule up a bit. I was really hoping to get 9 done and out late this week or next but it doesn't seem like it's gonna happen. Ended up with a horrible toothache and today went in for an emergency root canal. To say the least I'm in a whole lot of pain, the whole left side of my face is swollen, all drugged off with pain meds and is trying to sleep off the pain. I will be working on RESCUE 9 once the swelling and the pain goes down - long enough for me to sit in front of the computer for a few hours to work on it. Right now it's hard to even do that. It's hard to concentrate on anything since the pain makes it feel like that spot is throbbing >_<

I hope you guys can sit tight for just a little while longer. RESCUE 9 is definitely a priority once I can get this infection and swelling down.

EDIT 6/13: Since it would take forever to answer back to everyone I just thought I'd add on to this post. Thanks so so much for everyone's encouragement and support. Today is a new day and I'm still on all those meds. Still in quite a bit of pain but trying to push forward a little bit at a time, hoping to recover as quickly as possible. I'm seriously a wimp when it comes to pain but knowing that people are rooting for me to get better really calms my nerves a bit. Hoping that this pain and swelling goes away in a few days because that's all I can really take! lol

So some of us kinda just totally forgot about RESCUE 9... oops. I thought I already sent it out for QC but I really didn't. Rei forgot about it too until recently. So that didn't go so hot ^^;;; but I'm really hoping to get it done by the middle of next week if time allows. This series really didn't hit it off with those that watched it nor did it really motivate the team to push forward... well speaking on behalf of the team, most of us had quite enough with dramas dealing with helping people (Code Blue followed right up with RESCUE).

But this leads to the next announcement! Love Song has been chatting amongst ourselves and have pulled together a team with seasoned subbers as well as some that have decided to join the team and give subbing their best shot to sub Yamapi's upcoming drama called Buzzer Beat. I JUST posted on the subbing map and saw that a new group also decided to sub this drama. As always, I want to remind everyone and also the other teams out there, Love Song is not in this for competition nor do we care if you are a new or seasoned team, how fast or slow you go, what resolution or file size you put out, or how good or crappy you may sub. We do our own work and really welcome everyone to give it their very best shot. Love Song is a subbing team made mainly to sub Yamapi dramas, hence why we are subbing this. The only time we sub anything else is when Yamapi is not starring in a drama. I hate writing that kinda stuff but stuff seems to always hit the fan when new teams come on and start the whole "we called it first" crap. Well we're calling it second. May all teams give it their best and let the viewers watch whichever version they prefer.

Last but not least... stop asking when this or that comes out. I will get to it when I get to it. Please realize that for a drama like RESCUE, the only position I didn't fill was translation. I did editing, timing, typesetting, karaoke, quality check, AND encode. From the very start of this team, I have always stuck with deadlines and have hated to ever break them. Definitely know that if I don't deliver, something is definitely up in my life that I must take care of first. Commenting here asking when something is out and even emailing me... you bet you're not getting a response back. Don't even bother. This team and I pride ourselves on our work and quality. However we are all growing up and things impact our lives such as family, schooling, and jobs. While some may have it easier than others on team, each and every one of us push ourselves to our limit. Just keep that in mind before any of you decide you want to make a comment about when something is released. Go and watch something else.

This post has a really negative feel to it I think but there are just some things I really need to get off my chest. I'm sure the majority of you definitely know and understand, but it's always a handful that just doesn't get it.

Half a day is over and judging from the answers already received, the majority votes to episode 6 leave as is so I will be releasing RESCUE 6 today "as is." There will be no "version 2". I definitely don't have that much time on my hands as I have a job that requires over 50 hours, have other time-consuming hobbies, and want a social life of some sort.

I should've known we would have trouble with 6 since Love Song has always been plagued by triples - episodes 3, 6, and 9 for almost 5 different dramas ^^;;; 3 held us back for RESCUE and so did 6. Keep your fingers crossed that 9 will run smoothly >_<

Right after the release of episode 6 will be episode 7. Episode 8 will be released probably sometime over the weekend as I do not have time to work on it at the moment. Anime Central is taking place next week and I have yet to finish my cosplay ^^;;; so yes, I have to put that before subbing... especially since I spent over $300 on materials to make my outfit. So yeah... when I have time to work on episode 8, I will do so and it WILL be released before I go next week (so DO NOT ask me for status updates because here it is). For those attending the anime convention as well and would like to meet up, please do leave a note ^_^ I had a wonderful time meeting some of you the last couple of years. I will also be attending Otakon this year as well.
