Let's get some LOVE! [15 Aug 2005|03:48pm] overlap__ I'm tired of mainstream music. I'm not in touch with my own culture but avidly (or try to) follow Japan's music industry. Then again, I don't like pop music anymore so why bother following pop music that dominates most cultures? I try to find artists that are different from mainstream, different in that little aspect that makes them better than the popular artists in the industry. And I found them... I found The FLARE. Admittingly, I found The FLARE's 1st single Inner Child on another fourm and downloaded it because the mention of Sugizo lit a spark in my mind. I haven't heard many of his songs in a long time since Luna Sea & Sugizo with Spank Your Juice. I gave it a try... that 1st single... And guess what? Forget Ayumi Hamasaki, Johnny Entertainment (KAT-TUN, V6, NewS---pretty boys who are trained to sing, dance and act... essentially to entertain fangirls, but don't possess real talent. I admit I'm lured by their handsome beauty too -_-")--those artists that get the most publicity. 'Cause I found musicians worth my time, my investment, my interest. And that's The FLARE, baby :D I may sound like I'm overdoing it, but I'm true to what I say and I believe every word of it. I have never found an artist like The FLARE before. After hearing their 1st single, I was knocked off my feet despite I couldn't understand the Japanese, I could appreciate good music. I love the music. I love Sugizo & Yuna. I love The FLARE. And so after hearing that The FLARE's CD sales aren't doing so well, I thought, "WTHELL!? Doesn't anyone know the sound of good music?!" After downloading that first single, I won't download anymore The FLARE songs (unless I desperately want to hear the song first before buying it... I won't get punished, will I? ;_;). I want to buy them. Purchase them and revel in the fact I support them with all of me. Because they're that great. Oh yeah, I'm Nao (or Mizuki, whichever is fine--they're just online nicknames... I'm from the USA, btw :X). Let's keep The FLARE alive, strong... and support them spiritually and through sales. I'm only 17, but I'm searching for a job to earn some money. And the first thing I do once I earn money is to buy all The FLARE's singles. Just because Sugizo & Yuna need that in order to make more beautiful music. I love The FLARE.
