Welcome to the Music Appreciation Community.
It was once said that the world is based on art and music. When one looks back to the Middle Ages (around 500 A.D.), and then looks through the Renaissance, the Baroque Age, the Classical Period, the Romantic Era, the Twentieth Century, all the way up through the present, it's not hard to see that music has been life's on-going soundtrack for many centuries. What form of music one chooses as their favorite is not always relevant. Whether you love classical, rock, hip-hop, or any other form of music, at the end of the day when all is said and done, music by any name is still music. That's what this Community is about.
This is your forum to discuss anything music-related. Got some current event in music on your mind? Debating a topic from music's vast history? Maybe you just saw a show, just discovered an artist or album you think is essential listening and want to put the word out, or you just wanna pimp your favorite artist (or maybe your own music?). This is where to do it.
This Community is dedicated to anyone who loves and appreciates this art form, and to every artist who has contributed to music's rich legacy. Props also go out to the new generation of artists building upon the towering achievements of the legends that paved the way for them. Without these young talents (I hope to be among them one day soon!), music would not have the bright future it has today.
