In order no doubt to console him for the wreckage the script made of his competence, motivations, consistency and table manners Jackson handed out not only a really, really good death scene (With Added Blazing Plummet!) but an extended scene of frantic grief, and one heck of a mad scene. A director shouldn't do that to a classically trained actor, you know. It's like firewater.

    It just struck me as amusing.

    I recall that one time, a Lord of the Rings parody was posted here that involved George Bush and the United Nations? If anyone has a link I would be... really happy and thankful.

    I'm looking for someone who can write music to be the songwriter on what promises to be the biggest thing ever to hit Broadway, just as soon as it's written. It's the tragic story of feuding bands of Rohirrim and Uruk-hai, torn apart by the deep racial divide that runs between man and orc, and the romance that blooms between a young Uruk and a captain in the army of Rohan. It's going to end like no other play: each night, the set will be completely burnt down in the final battle, and then rebuilt by little Oompa Loompa stagehands in time for the next day's matinee. It'll be called Westfold Story.

    After all, my father was killed by orks when I was only two days conceived, my mother got raped by Saron and his seed influenced my dead father's seed and therefore I am half-evil like Saron, my entire village got burned by some orks, my cat got run over by a truck, Lord Elrond adopted me and that stupid Evenstar treats me like a servant gurl even though I'm really a princess of the secret country Lathelovania (which is right abovve Mirkwood!!!), I'm oppressed by men all the time even though I am the bestest fighter in ME, I almost didn't get to go with the Fellowship, Gimli laughed at me, the Balrog almost defeated me, Boromir raped me, I don't known about proper punctuation or how to use periods, I had to rescue Merry and Pippin and Treebeard all by myself, I have to hide my true feelings for Legolas because I will surely die if I marry him because I'm half evil, and everyone thinks Eowyn is a better fighter than me!!!!!!

    And then I remembered: snow days usually meant the snow had fallen and was laying useless in the street like a vagabond, perhaps George Thuroughgood in "One Bourbon, One Scotch, and One Beer."     What movie is this?
    Sunday I went over to my best friend's house. There was a LOTR marathon on Encore... or Starz I forget. We both have the DVDs but you know how it is...

    At dinner time we go out to the dining room to eat with her family. Her Mom jumps up from the table to turn the tv so we can watch the movie at the table (she didn't have to, but I didn't complain).

    My friend's Dad goes "What's this, Robin Hood?"

    Before anyone could react my friend mutters "...Men in tights... same thing."

    Hmm...but would it then be pronounced Loverses Day, and ruin the flow?

    Not unless it's sung by Gollum.

    As far as I know, "lover's" and "lovers'" are pronounced the same way.
