| LOTR RPS for early June 2009 (56 fics) |
[Jun. 26th, 2009|08:58 pm] |
A word about warnings for violent/intense/triggering topics: I pass warnings on when the author includes them, and I sometimes add them as compiler notes, along with notes like "set in NZ during filming" and on occasion, "snow angels". When an author requests no spoilers, I confine warnings to hidden text.
Basically, I'll do what I can, but I may miss things: please don't take lack of warning here for a guarantee of innocuous subject matter. If any readers think something is significant enough to warn for, please leave a comment and I'll update the listings as appropriate.

| Lotrips for May 2009 part 2 (76 fics) |
[Jun. 1st, 2009|09:51 pm] |
This contains most of the remaining fics posted in May. I'll make a third post with the ones I've missed, but it's nice to be current instead of behind! ( New stories and series )
( Updated chapters in series )
A thousand thanks to foxrafer who found a bunch of my mistakes. We all owe her! If I've missed something, made a mistake, or you'd like anything added, please leave a comment and a link and I will add it to the next post. |

| LOTR RPS posted in the rest of April |
[May. 14th, 2009|11:19 pm] |
85 stories, pretty good! Lots of Sean Bean's 50th birthday fic :-)
To writers: please consider joining this year's Lotrips Remix challenge! It's really fun to see what someone else can do with your stories. And it's a great challenge to see what you can do with another story: it doesn't have to be your favorite, just something with potential, something you can work with.

A million thanks to foxrafer for fantastic proofreading!
As always, please comment or email with corrections or links to new fic, I will be very grateful |

| April 2009 - LOTR RPS fic listing (first 51) |
[May. 3rd, 2009|10:46 am] |
I'm trying to do this in manageable chunks this month, so here's the first batch. Obviously there will be many more coming, but if you want to make sure I list a fic, you are welcome to drop me a link as a comment here.
I will be crossposting to the dreamwidth community lotrip_all_fic at least. If you're on DWO, that's a good central community for us to link to.

| New Lotrips List policies |
[Mar. 23rd, 2009|07:02 pm] |
This Lotrips Listing is in no way an "official" listing. I try to be as inclusive as possible, and link to all new Lotrips stories that I can possibly find.
How to Have Your Story Listed Or Removed
To be included, authors don't have to do anything except post to pretty much any lotrips fic community. If I'm not a member, and the listing account lotrips_lister isn't a member, let me know and one or both accounts will join, so I can list more effectively.
If you want to have a story added or removed, you can leave a comment on any post in lotrips, send an LJ direct message to me, or send email to lister @lotrips.org and I'll be happy to make changes.
Another way to specify exclusion is to include a note in the story header, much like archiving instructions. If it says "No outside links", or "No Lotrips List", I will certainly honor that.

If you have questions or suggestions, please comment here. Let's try to keep it relatively calm and positive this time. |

| Opinions and feedback are good |
[Feb. 20th, 2009|11:06 am] |
To all who've approached me about the content of the listing: I'm still thinking about your opinions. I see that the word "warning" has an emotional punch that I hadn't considered before, and is most appropriate for character death and other strongly triggering elements.
As for going forward, I will think carefully about this, and make a decision before my next post.
ETA: If you're curious, the discussion started in the most recent listing
