AboutDEPICTIONS OF SEXUAL ACTIVITIES INVOLVING ANY CHARACTER THAT IS A MINOR (under 18) ARE NOT ALLOWED. Any posts violating this rule will be deleted and the member will be banned.
The Red-headed Stepkids is a community for LOTR-related slash. Both RPS and FPS, including fem slash, stories of all ratings are welcome.

THE RULES:
- Only members can post to this community, but all posts must be public.
- You must be at least 18 years old to join this community and your birthdate with the year of your birth must be visible in your profile so that we can approve your membership. Feel free to remove it later.
The Moderators reserve the right to refuse anyone membership at any time for any reason, or to revoke membership for any reason without prior notice. - All fic posts must be rated, include a disclaimer and have clear warnings. Warnings should include, but not be limited to: AU, PWP, fluff or schmoop, Het, character death, BDSM, bloodplay, non-con or rape, and explicit or sustained depictions of violent activity. Any poster that violates this rule will be contacted and the post will have to be edited or it will be deleted. Frequent violations of this rule will result in loss of posting privileges.
- Het pairings are welcome, as long as that is clearly indicated in the warnings and they are ultimately not the main pairing.
- At least one character in the main pairing must be related to LOTR (as in part of the cast).
- Main pairings must be RARE or CROSSOVER, which means NO VIGORLI or MONABOYD.

lotrips_finders is a great resource for finding LOTR fics.Posting images, whether photos, manips or fan art, is also allowed; HOWEVER, please put them behind an LJ-CUT. ALso please limit images to dial-up friendly sizes; you can always provide a link to a high resolution version for those who are fortunate enough for broadband or are simply very very patient. :D
Gossip about the RL boys is NOT allowed. If you want to create tabliod-esque rumors about the fictional characters, feel free to entertain us but speculation about Orlando's girlfriend(s) should be taken elsewhere. That being said, legitimate news about a film or other project that involves one of the LOTR family is appropriate.
