The 2009 Lost Summer Luau begins in just 5 days!
This year's Luau will last for five weeks, so stock up on whatever you will need to get through it - energy bars, coffee, chocolate, ibuprofen, Red Bull, vodka... Remember to get plenty of sleep and exercise, so you're in tip-top shape to unleash your imagination and create wonderful gifts for your fellow-Luauers! As veteran Luauers can attest, it's easy at the beginning, but you really have to pace yourself to make it through til the end!
So, on to business!
* The Master List of Queens can be found HERE. Please make a note of your Queen Day! Now is a good time to ask your boss for that day off! ;)
* If you didn’t sign up to be Queen, you are still welcome, nay, encouraged to join in the Luau fun – absolutely anyone can offer the Queen of the day a gift and all can enjoy the offerings the Queens receive.
* Reminder: each Queen must contribute to a minimum of four other Queens' days. Hopefully, you will all contribute more often than four times, but four times is the minimum!

* Want some special Luau icons? A couple of years ago ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) halfdutch and emiliglia both made some fun ones! Find them here, here and here. If anyone gets the urge to make a batch of Luau icons for this year, please do and feel free to post them here at lostsquee.

It’s time to sign up for the 2009 Lost Summer Luau! Already? Yes, already! This year's Luau will run from July 6 - August 6, with Sundays as designated catch-up days.
As former Luau-ers know, those who stake their claim to a day get to be Queen (or King!) and order their minions to shower them with gifts on the subject of their choosing. It’s a win-win-win: participants get to amass fabulous tribute, plus they get to shift their creativity into high gear and shower their friends with presents, and everyone gets to read the fic and enjoy the wonderful art and graphics that are created during the course of the Luau.
ETA: Luau sign-ups are now closed! If you didn't sign up in time to get a day, you can still participate by creating tribute gifts for the Queens and by reading and commenting.

Well done, guys! In the last week we've done some awesome work on seasons 1-3: now, this week, we're going to shift our focus to the latest two seasons. Whether it's playing around the quadrangle, inviting dead characters into the more recent events (because who doesn't love seeing Shannon's reaction to the Dharma jumpsuits?!) or taking canon mishaps in a totally alternate direction, let's start fixing seasons 4-5. If you've got any fic from last week, however, you should still feel welcome to post it.

Summary: It starts when Boone gets sick of lying and pretending he felt relieved when he never really did; two weeks after his hallucination, he goes to Jack and spills everything, from how they found the hatch to how he and Locke spend their days instead of hunting.
Spoilers: set in S1, none really if you know what the hatch is.

A/N: this is for the fix-it challenge (I kinda tried to fix everything I could fix re Boone's story), for un_love_you #30, writer's choice, and for emiliglia because it was supposed to be her birthday fic ages ago. Then I completely re-wrote a good part of it because the challenge gave me the idea.

| The Lost Squee Fix-It Fest - Week One |

THE LOST SQUEE FIX-IT FEST!
Our show has a habit of breaking our hearts, scuppering our dreams and laughing at our pain. It kills off beloved characters and tramples down our favourite ships - and that's not even mentioning the bizarre turns its mythology sometimes takes. For the next two weeks, we are going to pick up our pliers, our spanners, our screwdrivers and whatever other items belong in a toolkit and set to work at fixing Lost.
This week we will be focused on seasons 1-3: writing AUs, missing scenes, "what was Character X up to while this madness was going on?", introspection to explain someone's bizarre behaviour... Whatever you like, as long as it's 'fixed'. Next week we're going to set our sights on the next two seasons, so stick your thinking-caps on in preparation for that as well!
