From an Interactive Game to "Mobisodes".
Today Advertising Age reports,
"Walt Disney Co.'s ABC TV Network sent another signal that it's ready to embrace digital media delivery yesterday when it announced a rights agreement with the various Hollywood guilds for mobisodes inspired by ABC's hit program "Lost" and designed for initial release on mobile platforms."

Full story.

Media writers must love new technology for the reason that they can invent new words such as "mobisodes". I find this article interesting not because of it's connection to Lost but because of Walt Disney's innovation.

I wonder, who wants to watch episodes on their mobile phone? I find laptop screens as small as I'm willing to go. I don't understand surfing the web or reading books on Blackberries either.

tidbits from australia
Hey guys, thought you'd be interested in an article published today in The Age (Aussie newspaper), How Lost Found Flann O'Brien (the guy who wrote the Third Policeman). It's not spoilery and it's more about Flann O'Brien than Lost, but it was interesting. :)

Also they just screened the Lost Revelations recap show on tv here with JJ Abrams giving a short intro - he says there's a Lost reference in MI3.
Not sure if that's worth sitting through 2 hours of Tom flashing his pearly whites though :P

Lost Official Magazine
The 4th (!) issue of the official LOST magazine is slowly making its way to subscribers' homes. The magazine cover features Locke and Hurley. The collector's edition cover features a huge 4 with various pics of the losties behind it. A poster (not stuck into the mag) comes with the issue. On one side, there is a cast pic and on the other it's a huge 4 with some character pictures.

Some of the articles in this issue are:

- The Numbers (pointing out of the numbers seen throughout the S1 finale)
- Articles about Terry O'Quinn, Mira Fulan, and Jorge Garcia.
- Eko vs the "Monster"
- Meet... Bryan Burk
- Storyboards from Kate's eerie descent down the hatch shaft
- Posters of Sun&Jin and Charlie&Claire
- Dear Diary written by Dominic Monaghan
- and so much more!

Since this is issue #4, the mag creators have hidden a few things here and there and there is at least one contest (I haven't read the issue in its entirety yet so there may be more...)

ABC Online will soon launch Lost reruns for free download
The Disney "Inside the Magic" Podcast today reports that ABC will soon start to offer its TV shows like Lost and Desperate Housewives for download straight from their website. They will be available in 4 show blocks and will be advertisement based. You will have to FF through the commercials but it will be a free LEGAL way to catch up on shows you have missed. Disney currently offers these shows through Itunes at $1.99 an episode. The podcast did not say if the shows would still be available on Itunes. It also did not give a launch date on this new service but I thought it would be beneficial to let the Lost fans know so we can be watching for this.
If you are interested you can hear this for yourself at the Inside the Magic podcast at http://distantcreations.com
