help with special effects
hey everyone. i'm organizing the senior video at my school for my senior class. in previous years, seniors have spoofed tv shows, especially the opening credits. i would like to do something with Lost.

does anyone out there know a way i can make my own opening. i have the sound file, i just need to figure out how to get my text to float in like the word LOST does. is there some kind of program i can use. i have live type on my computer, but i'm a novice with it.

i'll take any help or suggestions i can.

and also. does anyone know where i can get an audio file of the sound it makes right before a character flashback.

thank you!

Halloween/Lost= OTP
I just decided yesterday that I'm going as an Other for Halloween, and that got me thinking... Is anyone out there who celebrates Halloween going as a character from Lost?

Possible script error? Or I'm a dumbass?
I'm not sure if this has been asked or answered before, but the other day I was watching "Man of Science, Man of Faith". If I remember correctly, just as Jack arrives back at the camp to inform the survivors of the new gameplan, many of the survivors are becoming worried and agitated. Charlie and Shannon get into a little bit of an argument, and Charlie basically tells Shannon, "There are no others, there's nobody out there!" Perhaps that's not exactly what he'd said, but in season one he was most definatly hung by his neck by one of the others! Are we to believe that Charlie is in denial of his traumatic experience? Is he acting in the best interest of the camp by trying to assure their collective safety? Or did our writers simply slip up? Anybody care to share their thoughts about this and help me out?

Lost Jigsaw Puzzles
Has anyone completed all four of these yet? I know there are some people that completed the first one, the Hatch, but I was wondering if anyone else completed any of the others and if anyone has the "secret message" on the back?

I'm personally doing the Hatch and it is a pain in the butt, even with people posting their pictures of the puzzle as a guide.

Orientation Film Music
Hey guys
I posted a few days ago about my film, "Off The Island."
Quick question...does anyone know where I can get my hands on just the MUSIC from the Orientation films?
I need it for "Off The Island," and I can't find it anywhere.
You guys know of anyplace?
Or, if you're musically inclined, would anyone be willing to whip one up for me for the film, and get a credit as well?
Thanks guys!

DJ Dan
Hi, everyone. I'm in the process of compiling a sort of summary of the main points of The LOST Experience for all those who didn't follow it but want the key points. Well, I was thinking of including a compilation of all of the DJ Dan podcasts. So I have a favor. Does anyone here who has been following the Experience know of a website that has all of the podcasts archived? More specifically, does anyone know of an archive that doesn't require the use of ten different passwords? Thanks in advance!

if anyone would do this for me i am willing to pay them the postage cost and perhaps a little something extra!

This year for my 18th birthday I want to have a LOST themed birthday party. And since it will most likely be my last 'birthday party' I want to go all out. I'm not really creative so I can't think of any good ideas, other than obviously a cake lol. I was wondering if anyone can just throw out ideas, no matter how ridiculous or silly they are. Thanks so much!!

LOST Dinner Parties
Hey...

...LOST fanatics can help me! If you are a HUGE fan... (re: obsessive) I just can't remember the excruciating details that some of you can remember, and since I am going to see those four episode in just a few days, I don't want to watch them and then be bored Sunday...

In order to convert more fans to our wonderful show, I had some friends over for dinner to watch the first four episodes (the pilot counting as two). We had pork in honor of the boars, but as it turned out, I should have saved that dinner, heh?

The next time we did the next three episodes and had fish (we should have had the pork!).

This coming Sunday will be episodes eight thru eleven. Confidence Man, Solitary, Raised by Another and All the Best Cowboys Have Daddy Issues. Now when we do the episode that is all about Hurley, we should do fried chicken, right? In honor of where he worked when he won the lottery? But what about these four episodes I listed? What should I serve?

Something fun, but some how appropriate. I've only seen the episodes like twice. I don't have them memorized like so many.

I Need a REALLY Good Episode Guide...
...about six months ago we had friends over to watch the first four episodes of LOST. To our happiness, they LOVED the show just like I thought they would. They wanted to get together the very next day to see more...

...unfortunately, we all should have waited months to see the episodes. We all went into one of the busiest years of our lives (me hosting a convention and all kinds of shit).

Our lives have begun to slow down to a normal rush and we are now going to do at least a bi-weekly watching of the episodes!

The problem of course, for them, is that it has been over six months and we all don't want to spend an entire evening watching the first four episodes again. SO, what we need is a REAL good episode synopses. Real detailed. And pictures of the characters! That way all they have to do is read that to job their memories and we can commence to watching!

I've found shitty episode guides, and silly ones, and really short ones, and I've found a place where it would be so confusing to keep looking at this itsy bitsy guide of pictures...

...and suggestions on something really good?

Help?
Hey everyone,

I'm going to Hawaii this summer (in a few weeks, actually), and I was hoping you guys could help me. I assume that they've started filming, so where exactly are they doing it? And are there any places in particular that the actors like to hang out?

Thanks in advance!

Lost Power Point Presentation
I'm hoping the mods will allow this post to go through. I just started my first quarter of college, and in one of the classes, our final project is a Power Point presentation. We can do the presentation on anything we want. It's only supposed to be started in about 7 weeks, but I'm way ahead in the class, so I need to get my idea together now.

I'm looking to do it on Lost, of course. I'm just not sure if I should pick a theme, or just do like character bios. Does anyone have any ideas that I could use? The presentation has to be at least 13 slides long. I'd love it if someone could help point me in the right direction.

delete if not appropriate
Sorry to clog up f-lists with this but I am working on an article I am hoping to sell to a magazine.

Would anybody be interested in being interviewed?
I especially need fans of Lost.
The article will be on ways fans tie Lost into their daily lives, and what ways you tie other things to Lost.
Posts will be screened, any help would be appreciated.

If I can't get a lot of responses, I could do it on something else. Thank you for time.

Reminded of an old question
I'm rewatching the pilot for the first time in quite awhile, and this came to my mind...

Was it ever established why Jack first awoke in the jungle, while nearly everyone else was found on the beach (including Rose who was sitting next to him on the plane) or was this just dramatic license/liberty to build suspense for the show's initial introduction?
