So I have this friend that I introduced to Lost recently, she's in the middle of season 2 right now. She says she's likes it and everything and wants to watch it but the problem is that whenever she's watching it she hardly pays attention. She's surfing the internet and IMing people, doing homework which involves reading a book, playing tetris on her phone.
If they're not going to pay attention people shouldn't even bother watching Lost. There's so many little details that make the show so much richer and really give that "wow" factor. When there's revelations about something the details help to shock the audience more. All the little things make the show what it really is. It's what seperates Lost from all the other shows on TV right now.
I just get so annoyed I don't even want to watch it with her anymore, and you'll never see me turn down an opportunity to watch Lost.
Plus I just think it's just rude to make all these distractions when someone else is trying to watch it.

So have any of you had this problem when trying to introduce people to Lost?

Lost ARG Time Limit

Just a heads up for those of you who are playing along or just interested, the "recruiting" portion of the Lost ARG now has a deadline. All tests must be completed by 12 pm (PDT) October 7, 2008.

Why don't you all comment to post your quizzes so we can take each other's tests? Might be a fun way to kill some time anyhow (I mean, who goes to work to actually work right?)

Season 4 Bloopers and information about a Season 4 Cast mate

I found the Bloopers or some of them not sure how long they're going to officially run on the DVD for Season 4. I think it's all of them but they've been posted in two parts. Anyway I thought I would share them since I didn't see them posted. I also found some information about a Season 4 Cast mate being brought as a recurring character to a different show that's currently running also. I also posted that behind a cut not knowing how many people are in Season 4 and/or want to know spoilers for the other show.

This is the following text from the article, I just copied and pasted it.

Ex-Lost thesp Grant Bowler -- he played the swarthy freighter captain who was shot and killed in last May's finale -- is dropping anchor at Ugly Betty.   Sources confirm to me exclusively that the Aussie actor has been cast in the heavily recurring role of Meade Publications' CFO. "He's running the business part of the magazine," explains Betty exec producer Silvio Horta. "He's hot and cool and all the women are in love with him."  Rumor has it one of those women (Wilhelmina, perhaps?) may have previously raised his mast.   Oh, how I enjoy a good nautical pun…. I plan on trying to make an animated moodtheme of season 4, once I finish my Uni finals. But I need your help! What scenes would you like to see on each mood? I'm hoping this is alright to post, I didn't see this posted already. Unless I missed it in which case feel free to delete. Anyway this is a scan of the Davidoff Cool Water Cologne featuring Josh Holloway who we all know as Sawyer. I found it in my People magazine from September 1, 2008 though I know it's at least also in an US Magazine I own. Anyway enjoy and I apologize for the quality. I'm still playing around with my scanner, it's new.

These groups - the first test seems to put you in either Ganymede or Pandora. I'm assuming it's score or geography that determines them

So can some people post their scores, general geographical region and group, maybe we can figure out the cut-off between them?

I'm in Tennessee and scored 81 the first time I took it and ended up in Pandora. My highest score is 86 on a retake.

And FWIW I'm in Brontes in the second test, and I think I did rather poorly on it (I guessed on half of them - and the last question was "What is the answer to this Question? A, B, C, D" - WTF???)

ETA: Time spent is also part of the second test - I think I finished it in just under a minute, something like 53 seconds if I recall correctly. I don't know how this factors into the grouping though.

Revenge of the ETA: It's hard to say exactly, since a lot of people have only posted their *highest* score rather than their *first* score, which seems to be the determining factor, but I think the groups are based on score. The higher first scores seem to be in Pandora, the lower Ganymede, but there are some exceptions, so it may well just be randomly assigned. Question 2 is a bit harder to say since they're not giving us our scores and there seem to be more than two groups. Probably a combination of your score and the amount of time it took you. I guess we'll find out when they release our scores how the groups fall in line.

I'm rewatching the series now and while watching Catch 22, in season 3, I noticed something I hadn't before.

When Desmond is in the monastery, and gets kicked out, right before he meets penny for the first time-- he's speaking to the head monk at his desk and on it... is a picture of the monk and the old lady who- when Desmond goes back in time after switching the failsafe on the hatch- told him he couldn't change his destiny and all that.

What does that mean??!?! Theories, guys?

Did the Dharma Wants You website ever work for anyone?

I checked the website every half hour up until 10:30pm and then wake up today to see error codes.
