Welcome to Lost Teh Fun icon challenge based on the television series, Lost where serious icons are bad, bad, bad and OTP sappiness is to be mocked unmercilessly. See the word in the title? Fun? Live it and abuse it.

Remember our motto: Comedy is an art form even if The Academy Awards don't think so. Poo on them. (Yes, that last sentence is part of our motto. Catchy, ain't it?)

You know what's not fun? People stealing icons and using them without permission and without credit. So don't make me leave my comedy zone and pummel you to death.

Now I bet you thought you were just going to be able to go nuts here. Sorry. Even in comedy there are rules [(like the rule of 3, any word that starts with a "K" is automatically funny, bananas (stare at one - I dare you not to laugh)], and we are no exception. So here they are.

Teh Rules:

1. Your icon can't be any larger than 100x100 or 40 kb. Live Journal standards are a bitch.
   
2. You can use anything in your icon (brushes, templates, backgrounds, other pictures, etc.) that the particular challenge permits. If no limitations are posted, you can use it all.
   
3. Show me your icon, baby, as a comment to the challenge post. Post it as an image and put the url for the image below it so I don't have to work too hard. Make sure your lj user name is included in the url address in some way (part of the file name is fine). All entries will be screened.
   
4. Don't spoil the fun of the reveal by posting your icon in your journal or other places prior to the winners announcement.
   
5. Since a joke is usually only funny the first ten to twenty times, we only want original icons not ones that have been making us yawn for a week on your journal.

The challenges will not be the same every time, but what will be the same is that you will only enter one icon per challenge unless otherwise posted in the challenge thread.

And because repetition can be funny, the awards will also be the same each week. We will announce 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. A mod's choice award, "The Pie in the Eye Award" will be given only when the moderator feels it's deserved for everything an icon should be and/or just how frickin' funny it is. The other mod's choice award, "The Spit Take Award," will only be given when I actually do a spit take. The icon may look crappy as hell but if I almost choke on my upchucking phlegm, it deserves an award. The icons that receive the mod's choice awards may or may not be one of the top three placed icons.

Okay, I think that's it. If I think of anything else, I'll change the damn rules because I am the moderator god, or better known as damnskippytoo.
