I haven't come up with something for the community to do for Thanksgiving. But I will tell you folks this... in this giveaway, 1 lucky person will get 1 million coins.

I wish he had posted that here because I did drop by and I had fun. I don't usually interact with a lot of people in the game but this was a nice treat for me. I logged on under the name "pbnj". I couldn't come up with any other name other than "Devil Miyu". Then I figured, hey I just had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, not as a midnight snack, but rather, as something to eat so that the medication doesn't burn my tummy. I know that it was really late for me to be there (it was between 1am and 3am when I decided to stop by) but I enjoyed the company. During the brief time I was there, I gave each person in the party a treat. It was just a spur of the moment thing... in the spirit of "March Madness" and partying it up, I ended up being the one giving out party favours. That was really fun but I had to leave because I couldn't stay awake.

The reason I am posting this here is because part of the "March Madness" LiS give-away has a lot to do with The Sun Clan. I have already instructed my cousin to prepare a lot of items to give out. I want each and every member of this clan to receive something. On top of that, there are two others who were nominated..... only two? Come on, folks. You could do better than that, right?

It's not too late to nominate someone and give someone the recognition you think they deserve. So again, I am leaving it up to you folks out there to decide who's getting something.

I'd like "The Sun" himself to contact me and arrange for a time to receive something from me. I'd like to personally give him this "surprise". Good morning and greetings from Leeds, England.

I didn't forget about the February coin giveaway which was announced and voted for. And since not too many people participated this time, I guess it goes without saying that those who did participate will get more coins than what I originally set out to give. Everyone who submitted something will be getting a substantial amount of coins (over 50k but under 150k, could be more, I haven't decided yet, I just woke up!) as well as something from The Cloister of Secrets. Now, since this month has some significance both in the game and outside the game, I have instructed the person who is handling my vampire account to give out treats not only to those who submitted something for this month's coin giveaway, but also to random people in the game. This is probably going to be my last post in a long long while. I am leaving England soon and heading off elsewhere. I have been logging on and approving posting access to new members. But in my haste to get on with other things, I forgot to post here who I approved. Sorry for that. Valentine's day is just around the corner. And of course so is my 3 year in-game binding anniversary with RavenBlack. (my birthday is this month too but I am not counting that) As many of you know, I always try to give out coins on special occassions and holidays. This is yet another one of those times where I give out coins again. But this time you folks will have to do something for me. Yeah, that's right, this time there's a catch. But it's a fun one.

I know that many of you folks out there are quite talented. So, this time it's going to be some sort of "talent show".

I often wondered what people would do for money. I've seen people do things they normally wouldn't do for a price. Check "Fear Factor" or "Estate of Panic" for example. But I am not going to ask people out there to do things like that. I want to be amused. So, amuse me and you'll get coins from me. [grin]

If you are good with Photoshop (and similar programs and applications), you can create images perhaps a banner or logo for Lost In Shadows. Or maybe your rendition of me (as Devil Miyu) and RavenBlack. Or something.

If you are good at singing, by all means, sing for me.

If you are good at creating funny comic strips or cartoons, or if you have a knack for creating videos, post it up on youtube and send it to me.

If you are good at writing stories, poetry or composing songs, go for it.

Hey, if you have an interesting tattoo you want to show off or if you have a birthmark that looks like Abe Lincoln (yeah the sight of that *might* amuse me) go ahead and show it.

If you have a goofy picture of yourself or a cute picture of your pet or a pretty picture of the sunset in your neck-o-the-woods, hey, I might be amused by that as well.

Since "Devil Miyu" isn't around to do this, she had asked me to do this for her. The Trick or Treat event commenced at 9:00 PM today, October 30, 2008 and will continue again tomorrow night at the same time and will end at midnight.

For clarification:
- October 30th, Trick or Treat is from 9pm to midnight US Mountain Time.
- October 31st, Trick or Treat is from 9pm to midnight US Mountain Time.


The instructions are as follows:

- People are suppose to specifically say or shout, "Devil Miyu sent me. Trick or Treat!"
- They are suppose to step out of the square after receiving their treat(s).
- No scroll of turning's to be used.
- Only those who were asked to help are only allowed to scroll and only use scroll of displacement.
- Do not sit in, stand in, or lurk in "Abeir-Toril".
- Those who sit in the square for more than 30 minutes without saying anything will be displaced.

I am only following her instructions. I am also suppose to post this and update it as often as possible and make note of what had transpired. So here goes:

There are a few folks who have complied to the request and went over to Fear and NCL. At the time of writing, I am out of APs and had to succour back to RavenBlack with my last one.

The Edge of Reason has been scrolled a few times. I am asking nicely to PLEASE STOP IT.

Those who have received their treats, please... leave the square, those who are waiting, please be patient. Those who have scrolled the square, don't expect anything.

As it is, I'm inclined to not continue with this event or ANY event in the future if people aren't going to be respectful and be rude like that. I have, with my own scrolls of displacements, been clearing out the square on my own--it is part of the "trick" of "Trick or Treat".

There are 2 vampire accounts "resting" in that square. SevenDeadly and Nyx Thanatos. Both of which are friends of mine. Both of which have long since passed away in real life. That building is their account's final resting place and as such, part of the building's description was altered to honour those two. To scroll that square was basically like scrolling the graveyard.

I have only asked 3 other people to assist me in keeping the squares cleared. Neither one of them were the ones that scrolled the square just now. I have asked those who are assisting me to use displacements instead of scrolls of turning. That way it is not harmful to anyone.

This *was* supposed to be something fun for everyone to take part of. But if people aren't going to play nice then there's no point in doing something nice. I asked to please be patient for people to leave the square. Some don't have the APs, some are still waiting for their treats, some are waiting for both and most are waiting for me. Tsk. I am waiting for APs to build up.

I will be waiting until much MUCH later tonight to give more treats--IF everyone plays nice. If not... then consider the whole thing called off. Flasks, rings and necklaces along with the flowers will simply be pawned and the coins be kept until further notice.


P.S.
Finishing off the list of things to give to people who have been waiting throughout the day... made me curious about something. Especially after the scrollings. Upon looking into it and further investigating, I found out that Nyx Thanatos have been knocked out of his final resting place, because of the scroll of turning by coldgal and Judybo (both played by the same person, mind you). I had to find Draven's password, log on as him and move him back to Fear and NCL, in The Edge of Reason. Stating that having done this really upsets me is an understatement. I hope that people's thoughtlessness was worth it.
