I know it has nothing to do with the game itself, but I posted this on my personal journal.

I'm curious to know what some of you would say about the questions I've posted and maybe answer them either in-character or out-of-character (or even both!)

Anyway, I won't be online tomorrow. So I'd like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you folks out there for a good year here in LiS and in RavenBlack's vampire game. I wish you all the best of luck and may you folks have a wonderful time celebrating the coming of the new year.

It is the 30th and I do appreciate those who have sent well-wishes when I wasn't able to post anything here due to my accident. I do thank those who have posted on my behalf. I have removed the splint around my left hand but my right hand is still in a cast and will be that way for several weeks.

I've taken into consideration the holiday season and that people are off vacationing and spending time with loved ones. But I also took into consideration those who have made an effort to post here. I did offer a 100k coin to the one who writes the best RP story. But seeing that there wasn't enough rp-ing going on, to be fair to everyone who posted (all 10 of you) I have decided to give each of you 10,000 coins and a few more candy canes for your trouble. Actually counting OOC + RP there's been a total of 10 people. So, yeah... thanks for the effort. I shall be contacting you momentarily to arrange for a time and date to transfer coins. Heh, that subject line sounds like it'd make a good name for a band. That's the time right now. Well, technically, "now" is always changing. By the time I say "now" it'll be a few seconds after that particular time and--ah hell, I'm going off on a tangent here.

I gave a deadline for RSVP-ing to The Candy Cane ball. The deadline was Wednesday, December 16th, 2009. It's that time now. Well, a few minutes into wednesday. I will now give the list of names to RavenBlack and make the final preparations for friday night.

I do want to remind you folks that you can roleplay this event (and future similar events). I even made a forum for such things to take place in. Frankly, I really didn't have much planned other than giving out coins and items.

I really didn't want to create such a thing but I am also fully aware that part of enjoying the game involves dabbling in a bit of roleplaying. So, here it is... The Sanguinarium forum. If you want to post your roleplay stuff, go for it. The forum is new and it's a new thing for me to explore as well, so please be patient with me as I learn these things. There is a non-roleplay section (I know the names in that section are weird, but I was lacking sleep and extremely exhausted when I created them)

Hmm.... I just got an idea! Best roleplay story wins 100k in-game coins. To make it fair, I'll put it up for a vote. How's that? A ball and a contest all rolled up in one. (and a few other surprises too)

Good evening folks (or whatever appropriate time it is when you're reading this message).

In my effort to spread a bit of holiday cheer to this community and to the players of RavenBlack's vampire game, I have set aside a time and date to host our first ever holiday ball. I know that not everyone celebrates Christmas, but that doesn't mean we can't gather together and celebrate.

Economically, I know that things are tough out there. To some of us, this game is a means of an escape, to have fun for a bit and forget our problems. So I'm gonna try to make it easy for us, okay? I plan on doing this every year, just like the Halloween and Thanksgiving events (not to mention Valentine's Day and April Fools Day).

There will be various prizes to be given away along with a very special prize for those who RSVP'ed and shows up. To clarify, you must RSVP. Simply showing up will not count for anything. Keep in mind that the special prize I will be giving out is limited in quantity. (I only have so much of things to give away and only so many action points in the game to do so)

I will also pick random 5 people to receive a $5 donation in the game. And finally, I don't normally roleplay, but there will be a forum for members to do just that. I'm gonna try to end this year on a positive note for me and hopefully for everyone as well.

However, the reason why I am requiring an "rsvp" with your vampire name is so that I can provide RavenBlack a list of names of those who are going to be getting something from me. And only people on that list will be getting something. Why? That way, if something comes up that's questionable, I can provide RavenBlack something for him to use as a cross-reference.

I went ahead and had my vampire character (Devil Miyu) teleport like crazy all over the game-grid to pass out coins. Granted the amount isn't as much as before, but I'm saving the rest for the Christmas and New Year's event for this community. WanderingFool ran out of teleports as well as action points. I've used that one to second-sight people's location so I can teleport as "Devil Miyu" to their locations and give out coins.

Unfortunately, we all have our limits in the game. Mine was precisely 91 action points and they've all been used up by the time 5:43pm came around. I've been teleporting all over the city passing out coins and well, as much as I'd like that to continue, I can't. So it ends here.

I have disabled the "comments" feature to the thanksgiving post. I noted all the names of those that were listed in there and will try to get to them when I return home. I can't and won't promise anything.

My childe, The Scythe just recently hit the 100,000 bps mark. The last rank-mark in the game. So now he has, in the game, attained the Blood Deity rank. There are no other ranks after that--yet. [smirk]

I'm so very proud of him and all his accomplishments. He did all that just by drinking from humans in the game. I remember so many years back when he was just starting out in the game. I remember lots of things. Happy memories.

I haven't come up with something for the community to do for Thanksgiving. But I will tell you folks this... in this giveaway, 1 lucky person will get 1 million coins.

If you have suggestions as to what the activity should be, feel free to comment here.

For Christmas, I will do the same in giving out coins probably give out 5 million coins as well as pick 5 people to receive a donation to get "Second-sight" plus one additional power.
