Ben was walking toward the beach. His pace quickening every few feet. After he ruthlessly killed one Martin Keamy, the mercenary working for Charles Widmore, he finished his task and couldn't go on. Locke suggested that he could do it, but he had no idea what was waiting for him under the already underground DHARMA station. When Ben resurfaced, who was standing there but Richard, ready and willing to do the job that his leader could not?

Juliet was sitting on the beach with a shirtless Sawyer. The tension between the two was building with every second. He slowly reaches over to her, and she drops the half-empty bottle of rum she’d been drinking. Her curiosity was to be the death of her in cases such as this. When the high-pitched moan was emitted from the vegetation of the jungle and the light erupted from the island, they didn’t linger in each other’s space any longer.

His pace was near a full-out run by the time the light came. In a single, unanticipated, jolt the island was thrust through the air. Ben’s running came to a halt while the island was in motion. That precious name kept replaying in his mind. Juliet. He knew he had a sick problem. He fought himself everyday to keep himself from going after her. She was afraid of him, and yet she loved him. The sick part is that he knew this the whole time. She had a fatal attraction to him, and he knew it. And, oh, how he enjoyed it.

She felt his arm wrap around her as the island seemed to start flying. In her ear, she heard him cursing under his breath. After a few seconds, she found herself doing the same and suddenly, only one name could come out of her mouth, Ben. It sounded like a whine, a whimper for help.

Just as suddenly as it started, the island stopped moving. The only thing that stirred now was the ocean. Sawyer looked at Juliet with the most puzzled, yet probing look.

“Did you just say… Ben?” Sawyer asked with the same perplexed look.

Just as she was about to answer, the man she was afraid of, the one she loved, comes out of the greenery behind them.

“Well, speak of the devil.”

He looked at her for the first time in what seemed like forever. She looked so beautiful, like she always had.

"Ben, what are you doing here?" Juliet spat out before Sawyer even realized who he was looking at.

"Honestly... I thought you would’ve guessed. I came for you." Ben said in a tone that would’ve made a songbird sound like a dying crow. He looked at Sawyer and Juliet’s tight embrace.  “James, would you please remove your hands from her?” He looked at Sawyer’s bare chest, “And possibly find a shirt?”

“And why would I do that, Cuts and Bruises?” Sawyer asked in a collected voice.

“I would like to talk to Juliet… In private.” Ben said, trying his hardest to hide his smirk.

As soon as Sawyer was in a tent Juliet stood up and took a good look at the man that seemed to own her love. He walked closer and closer to Juliet until they were less that a hands length away from each other. To his surprise, Juliet was the one to pull him closer. The thoughts of what just happened, Her and Sawyer, the island moving somehow, disappeared from her memory.

The first kiss was gentle and slow. There was an indescribable angst between them though. Juliet was the first to stop, but Ben was the first to let go. She kept him in her arms for the moment.

“I’ve missed you Ben.” Juliet said, holding back tears of joy and sadness.

“I know.” Ben said, returning her embrace.
