Kate watches Claire sitting on the beach, looking like a porcelain doll among the decay of the island.

Kate knows she should be worrying about a million other things - Sawyer having the guns for one.

But for a moment, Kate thinks of nothing else but the image of Claire sitting on the beach.

Claire's blonde hair, pale skin, and delicate features are the only things that exist in Kate's mind.

Claire's light illuminates the hidden darkness.


Walking away from this rare moment of ease and relaxation, Kate feels as though she has spent time with a favorite doll from childhood.
