GAH! Stupid internet people. Our internet has been gone all week, and we've spent forever on the phone trying to get through to the company, but those bastards never pick up. Finally my sister sent an e-mail from my parents' and all we got so far is an automatic e-mail reply.
Now I am staying with my parents until tomorrow at least, so I'll finally get to catch up a little on what's going on with you guys. Let me know if I've missed anything important.
I feel so completely shut out from the world without internet. It's weird. XD

On the positive side, I'm missing out on all the transfer window craze. Well, most of it. I know Tottenham are pissed off at both us and the mancs, and we still haven't bought Villa or Keane, or anyone else new. And Ronaldo still hasn't made up his mind. I so do not want him in Real Madrid, I struggle enough with Robben. On the other hand, I want him away from the Premier League...

Nothing much has been going on this week though. I've been playing extreme amounts of Football Manager 2005 to keep myself entertained, and am currently not far from winning the league with Liverpool. They should so totally hire me. XD

My sister and I also bought ourselves a Nintendo Wii. It's so much fun. We only have the Wii Sports game, but it's good enough for now. We plan on getting Wii Fit soon.
Did I mention it's totally exhausting? Especially the boxing. I suck at baseball and tennis, golf is boring, and I rule at bowling.

Oh! I got into the school I wanted. Finally I'll be getting around to getting my education back on track. Now I can actually look at this as a summer holiday, when I know I'll actually have something to go to when it's over. I'm strangely excited about that. XD

Brann are playing today, against Aalesund. Last match against them did not go so well. And now Helstad is injured. I could cry just at the thought. At least it's not as bad as the six weeks the newspapers felt like throwing into their headlines.
And it seems we've been after some wonderkid in Lyn (Ighalo? Or something... I suck at names), but they refused the insane amount of money we offered. Seriously, are we really that rich? Though he is young and a huge talent, so it's not impossible we could still make a lot of money on him when he becomes too good for Norway. Either way, Lyn are having all kinds of issues and in-club fighting, and apparently need to sell to save their economy but some people refuse to sell before this guy who first spit money into the club is gone. Or something. I don't really get it.

So... how are my dear f-list doing? Any news?

OMG HISTORY MOVIE ALERT OF AWESOME!

Later this summer filming will start in Morocco on a version of the emperor's story by British director John Boorman. Based on Marguérite Yourcenar's 1951 novel, Memoirs of Hadrian, Boorman's film casts Antonio Banderas in the lead role and Charlie Hunnam as Antinous, the Greek boy who became his lover and then drowned mysteriously in the Nile.
There is more here for the curious.

Firstly, this novel is excellent. Secondly, Charlie Hunnam is hot. Thirdly, WHAT ANTONIO BANDERAS YOU SLAY ME!!! Lastly, I want this movie NAOW please, because it's either going to be HILARIOUSLY awful or make me cry tears of joy. There is probably no middle ground for a movie about Hadrian.... at least as far as I am concerned.

Holy hell, I got something stuck between two of my teeth when I went to eat dinner. I've now brushed my teeth FOUR times, flossed and picked at it and it still hurts. :(((( I am annoyed.

Also: awesome friend from work made my a poster of Nick Jonas to hang up in my dorm room. The caption: "Jail can't be that bad." I lol'd for hours! (I should note at this point that I don't actually find Nick Jonas attractive. We just sell a shit load of Jonas Brothers stuff at work so we make fun of them a lot. I might like his curls. But that will not be too much of a revelation for many of you. I like curlies. They be precious.) But still -- that poster is going up THE DAY I move in. I hope my roommate has a sense of humor. LOL

Dejemos las conclusiones para los idiotas
I've got a cold. I guess that's a logical consequence of being at 18ºC inside my house and stepping outside to feel that it is 40ºC. I shouldn't even be going out in the first place, not at the peak hours of the heat. Human body is not designed to endure those drastic changes. I should have learned my lesson by now but unfortunately I have not and now my pharynx feels close to exploding. I have a raspy voice and I sound like a whore and my brother is making fun of me and he shouldn't be making fun of me because we saw The Exorcist together and he still gets scared even tough we've seen it a thousand times and he's a big wimp and he shouldn't be telling me I have voz de puta, no, he shouldn't.

Today, I don't know why, I started thinking about this little story I had read sometime in the past. I remembered it was by Julio Cortázar and that it flowed nicely and seemed to mix fantasy and reality in a bit of what we call magical realism. I recalled a few other details but I won't tell you about them because I'm posting the story here and I want you to read it. Isn't it annoying when you suddenly want to remember something and, even if it is insignificant, you can't think about anything else until you've remembered what it is? After pulling my hair out just to remember the name of the story, it finally came to me as in a sort of epiphany: Continuidad de los parques, this is Continuity of the Parks. I'm putting the story under the cut, around six hundred words, translation is far from good but it will do. Read it if you've got nothing better to do.

And Christoph Metzelder to close this entry. This is a good reminder of why he's high up my list. Cute.

I simply have no desire for sleep. I think I'd rather stay up all night and play on my computer and waste time on the interweb. :/

Then I remember that I'm going to a birthday party complete with 17 under-7 year olds and I remember that sleep is good.

(BTW, MY NEW COMPUTER IS SO SO SO PRETTY.)

if you loved me why'd you let me go
I ended up leaving the theater at 2:30 AM. Worth it? Absolutely. Heath Ledger is completely batshit crazy but so brilliant and no one will ever be a better joker. Ever. Christian Bale kicked some ass and took some names. I love, love Gary Oldman. Maggie Gyllenhaal was a much better Rachel. Aaron Eckhart as two-faced was so good. Plus Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, and the dude from LOST can't hurt either. It fulfilled every  single one of my expectations and I can't wait to see it again.

I'm still so tired. I spent all day just laying around then went swimming with the family. Had a strawberry daiquiri and then grilled pork burgers. That all combined has made me so sleepy, I'm thinking about hitting the hay.

aww the training pictures at Propaganda have Agger and Degen being BFF's already XD.

They aren't showing the Pool game till later so that means I'm going to have to do something occupy my time until then. I don't want to spoil myself either. I know Degen will play since well I don't think we have another right back. Dossena better have his clearance and I'd love to see more of Pancheco. Also when are the Spanish coming back? Monday?

I watched a good movie earlier. it's an older one, made in 1967 called 'In The Heat of the Night.' It features Sydney Poitier and it's really good. It shows the south during that time and the extreme racism that went on.

Dad just had me upload pictures and email them to someone and holy crap. Bossy he is. He knows next to nothing about technology but stands there and acts like I'm and idiot when it's just faster if I do it and not be bothered. I know that sounds terrible but he doesn't know how to upload them, doesn't know how to attach them, doesn't know how to get to photobucket or any of that so it's just much easier if I do it and not be interrupted.

Dad is taking me on a motorcycle ride tomorrow. The first of this year which is unusual. I can't wait though I absolutely love being on a motorcycle.

I need a new job. We hired a new girl and next week I'm getting 8 hours. That pays for gas and a movie ticket. If I'm lucky....

OFFICIAL FIRST POST FROM MY NEW COMPUTER. PICS TO COME. HE MUST FIRST GET A NAME!!!

I've been thinking 'Andriy' as I came to love him though it caused me great pain to start with. But he's so pretty and playful looking and totally UNEMO (DID I MENTION HE'S GORGEOUS???) that I've been considering other names. The amazing amount of "omg i will look so cool with this HOT AS HELL computer computer' that I went through getting thing makes me think 'Karim' will be PERFECT for it. My irrational and instantaneous love for him, on the other hand, makes me think that Alberto (after the tiny one) is more fitting. Other suggestions are welcome!!

I will now go off and click around and play with it and GAH I LOVE IT SO MUCH.

“Hey guys, I hadn't been around much today because I have been doing a whole bunch of stuff. This morning I started off trying to take my old computer to a diagnostician(?) to look at it and tell me if the hardware problems could be fixed, if it was possible because the other diagnostician(?) couldn't didn't come to a conclusion on it. So when we got there this old computer wouldn't even turn on. So I guess that was the final straw. So let me know if I already gonna get a new computer but I thought maybe that this one I could sell it or do something with it. No it just simply wouldn't work. It just didn't turn on at all. It didn't matter what we did. They try to do some stuff like opening up the laptop and digging around in there to see if like something can come loose or it didn't work. So then we went to Best Buy and we bought my new computer and it is beautiful and perfect and I cannot to wait to take and show it to you guys but I left it up there with my the computer guys they're going to go through and do all these little like ___ and stuff and the start make it run really fast since we didn't give it all ___ with this other computer. Also bought extra warranty that is the one thing that I wish I had gotten with this old computer because if I had then whatever is wrong with it could possibly had been fix or I could have gotten something out of it but this new computer is beautiful and I'm so excited about it and then so I'm gonna go pick that up in about 15 minutes. It's supposed to be done at 5:30. It is like 5:20 right now so then I have to go to my dad's which is not gonna be cool. He said he can give me money for school but you know my father is like what he says not always what he actually gonna do so that's gonna be an adventure as usual. I should be around very much of the night and then tomorrow is my cousin's Ben birthday so that's gonna be exciting I guess and then I will ___. So I got a busy weekend. That's that's it I just wanted to let you guys know why I wasn't here or whatever so, bye”

I'll probably have them cut some more before leaving for Paris...and I'll have them dyed, too...something darker, maybe.

This article about Paris Hilton amused me as heck. No really it did.

Also, I'm looking for C.Ron x Kaka fics which is so wrong in so many levels, but god, I really, really want to read fics for that pairing. ;_;
