it is.. came back home around 7ish.. completely dried up.
It took us an hour to go a mile though. We would go a few inches then stop for about 5-10 minutes. People were reduced to two makeshift random lanes to try to get through.. then people began stalling out in it.. the water was above our wheels!

That looks nasty.

My roommmate and I were driving on Los Feliz Blvd and pulled over when we saw how rapid the LA River was flowing. Reminds you how this paved city of ours reacts to such sudden rainfalls.

holy fuck!

I had to drive through lax and the playa vista area. it was all flooded out (yay for not stalling!) but it wasn't that bad. however, I did have to drive through it in the dark.

imagine THAT ^^^ (pictures) drive in the dark. eek!

Thanx, but I've decided to 'bag it' tomorrow. I was sick on and off for more than six weeks through Nov/Dec. I ain't risking getting sick again..certainly not for $6.75 an hour.

It really reminds me of being back home in Louisiana.. ain't nothin like taking a pirogue to work. But the smell of the coffee shops here is much more appealing than that of the swamps.
