About:

Lord Harry Pirate is an icon challenge that was started on April 28, 2004. It is the first icon challenge community to feature Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and Pirates of the Caribbean challenges. Not a fan of all three? Not a problem! There are 3 separate challenges at a time, one for each fandom. The challenges are varied so you are not limited to using a screen cap every single challenge. The challenges you'll find here are lyrical, screen cap, bases, themes, and whatever else I can think of. The challenge post will have the guidlines for that specific challenge. Since, the contest is completely anonymous, I may enter the challenges. I will unscreen the votes after the challenge, so feel free to check if you don't trust my tallying skills :) Things will change occasionally, but I'll be sure to keep you guys up to date on the rules! Please, read the rules and instructions for entering the challenge below!

Rules(last update 4-28):

1) You may only enter one icon per fandom/per challenge. Unless it's one theme or set of lyrics for all of the fandoms.
2) Icons must meet the Livejournal requirements(under 40 kb and 100x100)
3) Don't post your icon for public use until the contest is over.
4) Use only the cap/lyrics provided for you.
5) Please, post the URL under your icon. It makes it easier on me.
6) Don't vote for your own icon, please.
7) State whether or not you want a banner made for you if you win, when you comment with your icon!
8) Make a new icon for the challenge. Don't post one you made a long time ago.
9) For Lyrical challenges you must use 4 words of the song in your entry!
10) Please, submit all you entries(if you are entering more than one fandom's challenge) in the same comment. It's easier for me to keep track of!
11) Don't put your username in the filename of your icon. We want this to be anonymous!
12) DO NOT use bases made by other icon makers. In other words don't take a base, slap text on it, and enter it in the challenge.
13) No using images of actors, unless it is an actor challenge!

14) IF YOU WOULD ALWAYS LIKE A BANNER PLEASE COMMENT HERE!
15) Have fun!

How it works:

1) I will post the challenge(different one for each fandom, but sometimes may be one lyric or theme for all). Read above for more info on what it will be.
2) You will make an icon according to what is provided for you.
3) Comment with the icon and the URL of your icon on the post that has the challenge in it. The comments will be screened so only you and I will be able to see your comment. It's your responsibility to host your icon and make sure it's working. If you are unable to host it, email the icon to me(at ventanilla@ livejournal.com) and I'll host it during the challenge.
4) On Saturdays, I'll make a post containing all of the entries. You guys will vote on your 3 favorites for each fandom. I will also post the next challenges.
5) On Mondays, I'll post the winners you chose. After the challenge is over and the winners are posted, I'll unscreen the votes.
