and let's talk about voters for a second. on ONTD, a few people said that co-workers and family and friends were saying they would vote for mccain just because he picked a woman (and a lot of those people were hilary supporters). BACK THE FUCK UP. if you're not going to take the time to look into a person or their record, you should not be voting. people in america are so fucking dense that they would vote for someone just because they picked a woman for a VP. or just because they're white. or just because they're black. OPEN UP YOUR EYES, PEOPLE. this is our COUNTRY, we are talking about. stop being stupid.
i can't tell if this was an excellent move by mccain or a terrible one. he's got the people on his side (mentioned above) that want to see a woman in office. but he also just undermined his argument that obama has no experience. because mccain just chose a first-term governor.
i am so scared for our country right now, holy shit.

Alright, I am back from San Diego!!! Well, I have been since the 21st but you know, have just been too lazy to do a post. Heh. Life and stuff got in the way, plus I didn't feeeeel like it. But here's the gist of what happened in San Diego:
- it sucks. It's pretty damn boring in SD
- it's hella hot.
- i came back to san francisco darker and with gross tan lines
- it's hella hot
- public transporation there sucks. Around $2.50 for a ONE WAY bus fare
- lots of ugly, old people with their shirts off
- beaches!!! they're amazing! like..REAL beaches! where it isn't cold and with REAL sand!
- ZOOOO! PANDAS!!!
- went to the wildlife animal reserve
- were total olympic freaks every night
- San Diego airport is NIIICE
- SD air smells like fart. no joke.
- all in all, with the heat and the bitching from my friends, it was fun!
But now that I'm back in SF, I've been doing a lot of things. First of all, school started on the 26th. I was pretty excited about it since all I did was go to work. I've only got classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays and here's what it looks like:

11:00am - 12:15pm > Introduction to Human Sexuality
12:35pm - 01:50pm > History of California
02:10pm - 03:25pm > Cross Cultural Perspectives in Psychology
03:35pm - 06:20pm > Philosophical Issues in Sexuality (Tuesdays ONLY)
03:35pm - 06:20pm > Sex and Morality (Thursdays ONLY)
And there you have it. I'm in class from 11am until practically 6:30pm. :( it's like I'm at work but I don't get a lunch break! What's even more annoying about school is that because the of the State budget not being passed yet, my CAL grant is being delayed. SOOO until they decide on a budget that is acceptable, I won't be getting the rest of my financial aid money. BOOO.
Yesterday, Melissa and I finally decided to start going to the gym. We were there for only an hour because we wanted to ease ourselves into it and not over do it. We were on the elliptical machine and the cycling thingy for the most part. We did go up to the weight room, but we left after a few minutes because we didn't know what the hell to do. Hahahahaha. We plan on going every Wednesday now. Gotta get to it! Whooo! But now that means I have to make a working out playlist for my iPod.

I got caught up on SO much this weekend and it feels great. Totally accomplished. I cleaned my room, did my laundry, washed the sheets on my bed, caught up on my friends list, updated all of my book, movie, and TV lists, caught up on shows, watched 6 more episodes of Gossip Girl with my mom (she still loves it), and made a few decisions as to what I want to do with my truck. I'm planning on taking all the decals off it this next weekend and saving to get a really sweet one put on there professionally from this place called North Ridge Auto Supply. And I want to get it professionally waxed too. The damn thing never holds wax on there long enough when I do it myself. I've tried three different kinds with no luck. It's always off in about two to three weeks. Waste of my time. At least I know when it's done correctly it'll last at least a year. That'll be nice and worth it.
I haven't mentioned this yet, but I will now. Lately I've been delving back into eating chicken. This whole vegan thing is so hard for me to keep up. Not to mention it's not simple. And I'm trying to keep my life as simple as possible. When I'm having to pay attention to what is in everything under the sun it irritates me and puts pressure on me. I'm still eating really healthy and caring about what goes down the pie hole, I'm just not having an easy time keeping up with it anymore. I can't really ever see myself eating beef or pork again, but chicken is another story. I had a chicken salad sandwich from Arby's the other day. Total love. And a few weeks back I had grilled chicken when I went out to eat. It didn't bother me. It was different to taste it again, but it was good. So I think I'll just stick with it. Me being an uptight picky eater isn't working out anymore. Then again, this is going along with my whole not being so rigid and uptight plan. *nods*
This is the weekend I'm going out with Christopher on Saturday. Can't wait. We're going to see two movies. Probably "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2" and something else. I'm not sure yet. The new Vin Diesel movie "Babylon A.D." would be kinda cool. Then we're going to eat at Brio Tuscan Grille, some shopping at Barnes & Noble and a few other places, and then to his aunts new house that's being built. I'm anxious to see how that's coming along.
It's been so hot here the past few days. In the 90's. And the humidity is making it hard to breath. Blah. I'm wanting it to be back down in the 70's. I'm anxiously awaiting fall coming in a month. It'll be cozy to have that slight chill in the air again. :)
*Sidenote: My new monthly blinkie is up in the sidebar. Total cuteness.
Time to get ready for work. I'm so glad that I have Labor day off next Monday. A three day weekend will be fabulous and much needed. I hope you all have a great week!!
